Summary: Excellent game...
Review: This game is excellent - the story, graphics, sound, effects, reality, playability and everything else you want in a game are great. Make sure you have a decent video card though. This game requires a very good video card for maximum satisfaction. I began playing with my onboard card and enjoyed the game but wanted to enjoy it at its full potential so I went out and bought a good 64MB video card for... It was well worth it and I would recommend that anyone who buys this game should do the same. All in all this game was great and everyone should enjoy it!

Summary: The Best star wars game ever!
Review: This game rocks! It has great graphics, good control, and is tons of fun! The best part is the multiplayer mode. It is really fun in Jedi Master mode, because when you become the master, you have both light and dark force powers.

Summary: Yes for the music and graphics
Review: ... Have you played jedi knight 1 there isn't much deference in the game play , use lightsaber and jedi powers, enemies are the same.
But the adding of puzzles and the video enhancement have made it a plus. But the puzzles sometimes puzzle you so much that you have 1) use cheat codes 2) have the walk-through.
This game kinda a reminds me off Riven the sequel to myst...
Good graphics but puzzles kinda hard sokmetimes...

But yes it worth your money if you are a Star Wars fan.
Get up there and get the game.

Summary: Jedi Knight Fans Unite
Review: Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast overall is a mind-blowing experience which will go above and beyond expectations which you may have set for it. The reason why this game didn't score a 5 in my book, probably would be because after finishing the single player mode - the game may leave you wanting more. This flaw didn't bother me much at all, because the multiplayer mode for this game is fantastic.

PROS:
- GREAT Multiplayer -(there is nothing like getting out your lightsaber and taking out your anger on helpless enemies by tearing them to bits, online against many players)
- The Force (powers) -The force powers used in this game add a special touch to the gameplay in single and even multiplayer modes.
- Overall good effects/graphics -in my opinion these graphics are good, although they still could be better
- Storyline/Plot -I know some gamers who played this game didn't like this feature, I personally though felt Jedi Outcast had a strong and interesting story behind it.
- An Array of Weapons + Who could forget, A LIGHTSABER!

CONS
- Movie/Video Clips -The video clips in between the game weren't great, I felt the first Jedi Knight game utilized this feature better (w/ using live actors)
- Single Player Mode -I know many people may disagree, but I felt the single player mode could of been a little better. I'm not saying that it was bad (acutally I'm saying the opposite of that), but its not perfect. But really - what game is perfect?
Someup:
LucasArts and Raven Studios overall have done a terrific job on, not a perfect, but solid and fun Star Wars Game.

Summary: Horrible until you get to the jedi part.
Review: I'll be honest, the first 3 levels of this game were horrible. You had no lightsaber or force powers, just guns, and on top of that you were supposed to destroy AT-ST's with your little stormtrooper rifle (there's a turret on the top level but that's besides the point.) There are great guns later in the game but once you get the lightsaber everything is obsolete anyway. The first 3 levels took at least 6 hours with a strategy guide. But once you're able to hack little star wars aliens with a lightsaber or push them off catwalks and the like, all the sweat and tears will be worth it. Starting on the 4th level this is one of the best games I've ever played. The graphics are top-notch and there is minimal slowdown (except one one level where the slowdown is horrid.) The only other problem I had with this game is the multiplayer. If you go in a game with force it's very cheap and no fun. The guns are obsolete because you can force push everything away. The only good mode is no force duels, which are great as long as kick is off. If you need a good multiplayer game, go with the first Jedi Knight. If you need good single player, get this.

Summary: One of the best Star Wars games. A classic.
Review: Many people are complaining about the graphics of this game, they are comparing them with Jedi:Outcast. This game was release in 1997, when the only good video accelerator was a Voodoo 2 from 3dfx, as opposite to Jedi: Outcast just release this year(2002) with a GeForce4 ti.

Having clarify the graphics issue I must confess that I still play this game. One reason is that it has a feature length story as opposite to Jedi: Outcast. Here Kyle must find a secret and sacred place call "the valley of the Jedi" before the evil Sith Jerec. During his adventure he must battle the empire with his growing Jedi powers that his obtaining each time a level is completed. Here you choose what powers you want as opposite to Jedi:Outcast. After flying from one planet to another, killing several enemies that go from lack aiming realistic troopers to REAL dark jedis not the lack of training fake ones from Jedi:Outast (which were a piece of cake to kill) you will became a Jedi or a Sith lord depending on your action. The story varies if you are a Sith or a Jedi and the ending of the game pretty much depends on this, I personally prefer the Sith ending.

The controls are not so good since you cannot bond the mouse buttons with your personal settings, they are pre-defined e.g. you cannot use the wheel to scroll your weapons, that option is not available for the wheel. I really don't like this because I like to have the same keys (mouse1=attack, mouse2=jump, mouse3=s. attack, mouse4=reload, mouse5=drop or use, wheel=scroll weapons) for similar games (Unreal, Quake, CS, HL, etc.).But the overall enjoyment of playing this game is real satisfactory.

I have had it since 1997 and the only reason I play Jedi:Outcast is because the multiplayer is real fun, and yes the graphics rock, but remember can you really compare The Empire Strikes Back special effects with Attack of the Clones special effects, is Attack of the Clones better than The Empire Strikes Back only because it looks and it sounds better, I think not. Just like The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite Star Wars movie, Jedi Knights - Dark Forces 2 is my favorite star wars game and maybe even my favorite FPS(first person shooter, not frames per second), were else can you slide people up with a lightsaber. Other than the limitation of the mouse bonding and the old graphics, I think that you will enjoy this game.

Just for the record, ANH and AOTC both are second just after ESB. But if I must choose a second and a third I'll go for ANH then AOTC. Also is not that I don't like Jedi:Outcast is just that I expected more from it. And yes I consider my self a Sith because the first time I played this game is were I ended up.

Summary: By today's standards
Review: The Graphics [are not so hot], but what do you expect? It's an old game. Quite fun, when it was newer. But, with Jedi Outcast, it's become outdated. JK2 has better Saber gameplay, cooler weapons, better graphics, and so-on, so the only thing this has left is the fact that it plays on far slower machines than JK2. But, now, JK2 simply replaces it.
