Rating: Summary: Incredible Joy Review: This is the top. If someone just ask me to select the top 20 games that i ever played, i would chose diablo 2 and place it in this top 20. Battle.net acted as on of the biggest game servers ever. It is acting now as the biggest game server ever. 8 players! It is an incredible thing to fight with monsters an even with other players in these 4 towns of diablo 2! What a joy! More than that, the chance of carving your name to the hall of heroes on battle.net, and better than all, carving your name on the head of your opponent. I played many games on net, til i played diablo 2. Now i think i hadn't play any games. I played diablo 2. The rest is worthless.
Rating: Summary: This is great Review: Hi everybody, I just got this game and have been playing it alot. It's a jolly good rollicking time. I'm poppin my buttons playing it due to its funness. Buy it and start playing.
Rating: Summary: This is what I waited so long for? Review: Well after about 2 years of delays to get it right you'd think this game would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Blizzard is one of those companies that I hold to a little higher standard. In my book, they have fallen a little short. There are no glaring flaws with the game, but it just isn't the next step I'd hoped it would be. Sure there are nice additions like a few more skills, being able to run, and a stash chest, but it's the same depth lacking RPG the first one was just with a few additions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slamming the game. It is a very DECENT game; it's just not a great game. If you like myself have been burned out on Diablo for years and were hoping that DII could rekindle the flame, I believe you are going to be disappointed. If you're looking for some easy hop right in point, click, and slash action then this is for you. If you're looking for Diablo but with more depth and more emmersive game play, then you may want to pass it by. If I were on a limited budget and needed a gaming fix, I'd look elsewhere first.
Rating: Summary: Great game, but some MAJOR problems Review: I was excited when Diablo II finally arrived, and I bought it as soon as possible. However, upon the installation, I ran into various problems. It seems that the installation program has difficulty installing the file, d2char.mpg, when using a DVD-ROM. Blizzard is aware of this problem, but unfortunately they haven't released a fix for this conflict. So, if you have a DVD, beware before buying! Luckily, I had a CDRW that I could use instead to run and install Diablo II. Also, battle.net servers are unable to handle the heavy output of players, and the realms are frequently down. Unless you have DSL, cable, T1 or T3, you're out of luck on battle.net... at least until Blizzard upgrades the battle.net servers. The graphics are a bit outdated; the maximum resolution is 640x480 and on my 17" monitor, the images are "pixelly." However, the gameplay is great and the character classes add to enrich the entire gaming environment. But, I had pretty large expectations for this product, and because of the previous fundamental problems, I think Diablo II wasn't worth the wait.
Rating: Summary: What a treat Review: I just got the collectors edition, something I can Highly recommend. First off, the Collector's edition has s 30 Minute DVD that pulls all the cinematics together. Which of course rocks, essentially you get to see the Diablo II story. The DVD has some additional features, but I haven't looked at them yet. The Special edition also comes with the Soundtrack for the game, and it rocks. All the cool music for the game you can now listen too. That may sound goofy, but for this soundtrack it is greatly appreciated, because so far it appears to be even better than the soundtrack used in Diablo. The Special edition also comes with an autographed manual, which I'm sure some people will like, and a Diablo II rules expansion for Dungeon and Dragons. The only disappointing feature for the Box and stuff that came with it was the total lack of the classic _BLizzard Notepad_(tm) which has come with every other game so far, it is a nitpick I know but hey there has got to be something I don't like right? Now on to the game. The game itself fits on 3 CD's. Installation was a breeze on my Dell Laptop. There are 3 install options, Single Player, Multiplayer, and Full, note a minimum install is 600 Meg and you will probably want to go with that 1.5 Gig install just to not have to swap CD's. Another note, apparently the CD-ROM portion of my DVD-ROM is slightly out of alignment on my Desktop machine, and that makes doing anything other than a single player install on my desktop currently an impossibility, it could also be driver related, which of course is a reminder to make sure all of your Hardware drivers are up to date. The opening Cinematic rocks, and definitely sets the mood for the game. Next you go to the screen where you select what type of Game you are playing, i.e.. Single Player or Multiplayer. So far due to network difficulties at home I have only played the single player version of the game. Next is the Character creation screen. You can be any one of five character types The Amazon, The Barbarian, The Necromancer, The Paladin, and The Sorceress. I've been playing the game as the Barbarian, The Paladin and The Necromancer. I'm not sure which one I like the best. With the wealth of skills/spells that each has it is very hard to pick. The Skills available for each class is fascinating. There exists the distinct possibility that as you play on Battle.net you will never meet another guy who has his character the same as yours. That is because some skills has different levels, and thus you may meet a jack of all trades, or you may meet someone who is highly specialized in certain skills. All I can say is go buy this game! It rocks, and I will hopefully see you all on battle.net
Rating: Summary: This Game Is Fantastic Review: Wow, I just spent 3 1/2 hrs playing this very fine sequel! The graphics are great, the characters are great, the towns are great. This game is, however, far more complex and less user-friendly than its predecessor. I plan on implementing the "trial-n-error" method of beating this game. It just seems more fun that way.
Rating: Summary: Diablo Stress tester Review: This has got to be the best yet from Blizzard. I am an original D1 player and own Starcraft. Nothing compares to this release. During the past 3 years, waiting for development, I have not found anything like this game. The aspect angle is perfect, graphics are smooth and lag over Battlenet was ZIP! I recommend this game to all and thank Blizzard for a chance to play pre-release.

Rating: Summary: Diablo II it was worth the wait Review: For all you diablo fans, diablo 2 is going to really rock your world. It has four new acts many towns and great new graphics..The paladin, necromancer, sorceress, barbarian, and amazon all have many unique skills and their own weaknesses. If you play with all of the characters you can figure out how to make your character stronger against some weaknesses. I havn't recieved my copy yet but ill be sure to be playing it 24/7 see you all on battle.net HTK~IRA
Rating: Summary: Another Solid Blizzard Title Review: I am a closed and stress beta tester for Diablo II and feel I am quite qualified to say that there is no question that this will be the biggest game of the year and perhaps one of the best sellers of all time. For those of who are expecting much, expect more. Expect NPCs that you may hire to fight by your side, unsurpassed tech and q&a support from blizzard, and countless other new features you can read up on blizzards official page. The gameplay is solid and fluid, not to mention dangerously addictive. The one minor, if unnoticable, factor that may hamper the game for those who graphics are a huge issue for is the game only runs in 640x480 slightly limiting the graphic quality. However, the monsters and spells are beautifally done and will not fail to awe you even in this less than perfect resolution. The only reasons one would have for not buying Diablo II are A) not having a computer B) Fear of losing one's social life. Enjoy.
