Summary: D'Oh, did not live up to hipe IMO.
Review: Ugh, I hate it when something like this happens. I get all worked up the week it is slated to come out, then I get it and am let down. The initial problem was getting it to play, which took Blizzard 2 days to get back to me. Then it was beating the game the 4th day I had it. I promtply un-installed after 3 nights of trying to get on bnet with no success. If you want a good RPG then go straight for Vampire!!!

Review: To tell you the truth, i wasn't to crazy when I first saw Diablo 2. When I took a first look at the Graphics in Diablo 2, it made me wonder if this was being released in 1983. Boy, was I wrong. When I opened up Diablo 2, I was treated with a ghoulish sound, meaning that I had put the disc in the drive! After it installed, guess what, I started up the game! I then watched the brilliant opening cinematics, then started the single player game. I then found myself staring at 5 different warriors to choose to battle Diablo. Whoa, in Diablo 1 you had to be the "wanderer" and nothing else. And guess what, these graphic were amazing! Best graphics I had ever seen for this type of game! After I chose the Paladin, I suddenly appeared in a camp, and a guy named Warriv came up to me, and so the story of Diablo 2 started. This game will take you a LLLOOONNNGGG time to finish, but hey, what's the rush? The combat system is both fun and addictive and the best I've played, ever! The manual does a keen job of explaining the fundamentels of the game. And as for multiplayer? Plenty of it. You can go online and complete quests with a few fighters, or you can do it alone. What are you waiting for? As a gamer, it is your duty to own Diablo 2!

Summary: Excellent game
Review: Diablo -- Lord of Terror, Stealer of Time. I was almost late towork one day because I foolishly thought I could easily complete a quest and still have enough time to get ready. This game is meant to be played for hours at a time. Luckily, the experience is rewarding.

Diablo II was obviously written by people who wanted to make a fun game. It is easy to get into the game even if you've never played the original. The learning curve is relatively gentle, as challenges can increase quickly, but not before you've mastered the basics.

For Mac users, I would recommend a two-button mouse. The game is designed to take advantage of the extra button. The other nice thing about this game from a Mac-user standpoint is that it was released at nearly the same time as the Windows version...

There is plenty of blood and guts, so parents may wish to cast an informed eye on the Mature rating. It is set in a fantasy world, however, so everything should be taken in context.

All in all, a truly fun game that promises to continue to steal hours of my time. In fact, I think I've already been away from it for too long...

Summary: Totoro speaks on Diablo II
Review: I don't know why I bothered to try Diablo II. I didn't particularly like Diablo I so I should have known....

Fortunately, I did not buy the game (only played). Very little rp in rpg. The plot is long, one-dimensional and pre-ordained. I did not finish because I fell asleep, though I heard about what happens when you do. No surprises. If you have absolutely nothing better to do, it will pass your time, but I recommend something with a little more depth. Of course, the artwork was up to the standards you would expect (pretty good, that is, in a morbid sort of way).

Summary: Kiss your social life goodbye!
Review: I recently bought this game, still in wonder wether or not this game lives up to the hype. After about 10 minutes reading the instruction book (yes some people do that) I was off and ready to play. Playing online with other people is highly addicting. After a few days you begin to see visions in your daily life while at work or anytime you are away from the game. I recall seeing my boss in a new light and noticing amazing simularities in his face and that of a Goat Man. I also see little creatures running about, throught the cubicles. Eventually the only joy you get throught your day is getting home and slaughter something with your warrior. I highly recommend this game to anyone. And after you buy the game, and you notice your friends aren't around much anymore. Get them addicted!

Summary: Who needs anything else?
Review: When I first got Diablo II, I was borrowing it from my dear friend, snickering lightly to myself "Diablo II? well what could they have possibly changed in a point and click? give me Daggerfall anyday." I was in for a great suprise. The new choice of charactors, for example, was wonderful. The gameplay was better with the edition of the charactor points and the plot was much more involving. I am not embarrassed to admint that I didnt get any sleep those first 48 hours, which is not a good thing since my boss fired me for giving some kid a vanilla shake when he asked for a burger. But is a job at a fast food joint really any competition to Diablo II? The answer is no, there is NO competition.

WHY HAVENT YOU BOUGHT IT YET?!?!?!?!

Summary: DON¿T buy this game!
Review: Unless you have loads of free time! This game is about 3 times as long as the original and at least twice as challenging and addictive. It will take at least several weeks to finish the game (depending on how much free time you actually have) and that's only with one character. Luckily, the very length of the quests involved may dissuade you from playing too often but only after many, many hours of play.

Summary: My name is Rob and I'm a Diabloholic.
Review: If you liked the first one, say good bye to your wife and friends for a while....this one is going to consume you. I've tried many a RPG including the Fallout series, the Baldur's Gate, etc., etc., but none have every wrapped me up to the extent this series has. It is the simplicity combined with story combined with the interface combined with the...well, you get the point. It's the perfect mix!

At first glance, I wished the graphics could have been better (they do get better as you go) and I've had a couple of minor issues with the game itself. But, such is the fate of the impatient ones who can't wait until the bugs have all been worked out before diving in. I've played the game mostly in single player, although I hope to find a support group online before long.

Buy this game without hesitation!
