Rating: Summary: Spen dyour money on something else! Review: My friend bought this game and was and still is obbsessed with it! He kept telling me how great it was and I went over and tried it out. Big whoop all you have to do is point and click and have an IQ of at least 5. There is no point to buying this game. Now my friend bores my with long conversations on how he could make his guy better or why they are so good in the first place.P.S. This game is a waste of time and money don't get it!! Also If this form had a 0 star I would give it that!!
Rating: Summary: Diablo II is one of the best RPGs EVER !!!! Review: Diablo II is amazing!!! Not only are the graphics 20x better than the original this game actually surpasses the first plot wise which very few games can do. While the first Diablo was mainly about saving the small town of tristrem and saving the kings lost son this one was much more envolved. Mainly this Diablo game is about how the character from the first game (the dark wonderer) transforms into diablo (you have to see the end of the first diablo to know why he does) and he is getting together with his brother Baal and Mephesto to turn the world of the living to an eternal outpost of HELL. Only the powers of one mortal assisted somewhat by the angel of light Terial can destroy the soulstones and stop the 3 prime evils from ever returning to the world of the living. This is one game that is not to be missed if you love an intriguing plot along with alot of gore and killing of monsters make sure to pick up Diablo II today trust me YOU WILL LOVE IT!!
Rating: Summary: Best Game Ever Review: I bought this game when it was released...and I haven't stopped playing it since then. It's the best computer game evr, and its expansion adds a lot to it.
Rating: Summary: Addicting, even if it is a bit repetitive... Review: Let me get this off my chest to start. One of the main reasons this game got some bad press from some people was because it was a far cry from being the traditional RPG. Well, that's because it's not the traditional RPG. It's more of a subclass of RPG's, which can only be called the "Hack 'n Slash" genre. There is nothing wrong with this genre, especially if you prefer action oriented games. Just stop comparing this to games like Baldur's Gate. They are too different to be compared. Now that that's over with, on with the review... This game gives you a choice between 5 character classes: Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin, Sorceress, and Amazon. Each class has it's own strengths and weaknesses. They are all very playable. The game consists of 4 "acts" with 6 "quests" each. There is not much in the way of story building, but that is because of it's genre. Graphically, it doesn't look very up to date. After all, it runs in 640x480 resolution. That's pretty low by today's standards. Some of the effects are very nice though, and the stages have a grim and dark atmosphere about them. And the cutscenes have to be seen to be believed. Simply stunning. The sound is excellent, with great music and some nice voice acting. The gameplay is mostly point-and-click, which makes it easy for the greenest newbie to play. However, many gamers might find the gameplay too repetitive, with too much "Point-Click-Kill" gameplay. However, there is a stran ge addiction that catches people who let it. Suddenly, you have this urge to keep playing, just to get the next magic item or experiance level. Before you know it, you will have been playing for hours! This game has an excellent multiplayer mode as well, where 8 players can play through the game togeather. Overall, this game is worth getting, even if it is repetetive. Blizzard has done it again
Rating: Summary: Time to open a can o' whoopass on Diablo! Review: Besides for the resolution, which is still at a measly old 640x480, I really don't have many complaints. - There are 5 all new character classes, two more than were available in the original Diablo. - The save system is better, and worse, considering that unless you accidently, or purposefully, write-protect your save file, you are almost guaranteed not to lose progress. However, you don't come back in the same spot, and if you left items laying on the ground, you won't find them again. - There are four different towns you operate out of at different points in the game, each with their own textures. Also, the randoom dungeon layouts of Diablo are back. - The chances of you finding another player like yours are really low, even among the same character class. For example, your sorceress can become a master of one of three elements, and of different aspects of each element. For example, some may put all their skill points into Inferno, while others prefer strengthening their knowledge of Fire Bolt, or Blaze. And while some would put more points into vitality and wear light armor, others may put points into dexterity, or whatever. All-in-all, Diablo II will definitely remain a favorite for a long time.
Rating: Summary: rise up diablo Review: not quite as good as the hype but still very good. two things that bothered me. one, you cant port your single player character into battle net. and two the game gets boring since all the maps are huge and you could be searching for hours for an exit only to be killed while right infront of it because there are unique monsters guarding it. some monster have really cheap moves too, like fireballs that track you. its great to play on line but as single player game its kinda weak.
Rating: Summary: Dark, Bloody, Addictive Fun! Review: The story of the Lord of Terror continues with 5 new player classes, amazing spells and effects, an incredible musical score, and very addictive gameplay. The story begins on a darker note...the town of Tristram, the very location of the first battle with Diablo has been stricken with a terrible fate, as the very hero who defeated him seems to be harboring a great curse...and as he travels eastward, this 'Dark Wanderer' leaves behind him a wake of evil, spreading throughout the lands. Enter: The heroic Paladin, the mighty Barbarian, the mysterious Necromancer, the quick and agile Amazon and the elementally-powered Sorceress. These 5 character classes each have 3 unique skill 'trees', all of which have powerful skills that your characters can perfect, which lends easy customization of your character(for example, you can have a Necromancer who is unmatched in raising the dead to do his bidding, or one that is a master of dark spells, or a mixture of both). Tons of enemies block your path, with literally thousands of magical, unique, and 'set' items that players will find themselves hunting for throughout the game. Battle.net capability makes Diablo II a very entertaining experience both off- and on-line. The Paladin is the definitive choice for those that want to lead a party. With a tree of deadly attack skills, and 2 trees of 'auras' which enable the paladin to enchant himself and other party members with defensive or offensive abilities, he is a force to be reckoned with. A great choice for those who favored the warrior in the first Diablo but wanted magical skills as well. The Barbarian is easily the most formidable fighter in the game. Immense strength and agility make this character very hard to kill. His skill trees include 'Battle cries' which can be used to power himself and party members, as well as cause damaging effects to enemies. He has a tree of attack skills, which include the ability to 'bash' and knock enemies back, dizzying them, or leaping into a group of enemies with enough force to scatter them. his third tree consists of 'Masteries' which allow him to increase his ability to wield sword, mace, and axe class weapons, as well as the ability to search corpses for potions and treasure. The Amazon is a quick and nimble warrior, with the mastery of spear and ranged weapons. She also benefits from spiritual abilities and excellent attacks. The perfect choice for those that were fans of the Rogue class in the first Diablo. The Sorceress is no different than the Sorcerer of the first game, save the fact that she learns her elemental magics: fire, ice, and lightning on each individual tree. Players can choose to master one tree, or blend all three to have an excellent elemental warrior! The Necromancer is by far the most unique and mysterious of all the classes. He has the 'evil' ability to raise the dead, making the corpses of his foes into skeletal slaves! He also benefits from 2 trees worth of magical attack spells, which do incredible damage if trained properly. However, the ability to raise undead minions to do your bidding is the best aspect of the Necromancer. It may seem at times that you are being SWARMED by an unprecedented number of enemies on screen at once. all you have to do is continue to train your summoning skills, and soon you'll have your enemies on the run with your own personal army of the undead! These 5 diverse classes alone are worth playing the game over multiple times. When you beat the game, a harder difficulty opens up, and new, more powerful items and creatures are yours to discover! The cinematics are breath-taking. Blizzard once again delivers by giving us excellent quality and story telling. Each Act is followed by a cinematic that spans anywhere from 2 - 5 minutes long. Some of the events that occur in these cinematics will send chills down your spine, especially the end of Act IV.... The gameplay is VERY addicting, and you will find yourself looking at the clock and watching hours go by as if they were minutes. There strange thing is that it is nothing remarkable...go, kill, do quest and gain experience. Perhaps themost entertaining aspect is the multiplayer, which keeps the game going no matter how many times you've beaten it. The bottom-line: GET IT. You will LOVE it. A great story, great voice acting and tons of items and creatures to discover make this game well worth your time and money!
Rating: Summary: its a great game but really "clicky, clicky" Review: I bought this game about a year ago cause my friend had and it was the greatest game i had ever played and extrermely addictive. 2 addictive (i faked sick from school too play). any way i was reading the other reviews and realized it realy is just clicking a lot. Now i still think this a great game and worth the money but it is still just clicking.
Rating: Summary: A thriller, addicting, and most fun! Review: If you are a big fan of Blizzard Entertainment games, then I recommend you buy this. This is waaaaaaaaaayy better than Diablo I. Better graphics, better playing, and you can never stop playing it. They have 5 new characters: Amazon, Necroamer (?),Barbarian,Sorceress, and Paladin. The saving is kinda ok, but if you die, they take all your gold and your weapon(s) you got equipped. But you have to go back to the place you died to get the stuff back. Other than that, this is a great game!
Rating: Summary: -WARNING- AVOID! DONT TOUCH THIS GAME! -WARNING- Review: This game blows. ... When you first play Diablo 2, you think to yourself, 'Wow, this stuff's amazing! I haven't had so much fun in ages!' Then after about 10 hours of POINT and CLICK (no need to think, just run into a mob of zombies, point, click, click, point, click, then when they all die, see if they've dropped a legendary item) you realise that the game is getting VERY reptitive (point, click) and you want to stop. But wait, you've just put 10 hours into your beloved barbarian... you don't just want to say goodbye and delete him right? And what about the 1-in-1 million-chance to drop godly items, that will take on average hundreds of hours to get? You just got to get your grubby mitts on one of them... That is how I, and you if you play this, become a slave to diablo 2. The people who give it 5 stars and say WOW, Get this now!! are CERTAIN to be in the 'first 10-hour-give-me-more' stage. But I've been playing this for a year now, and I deeply regret ever playing this, as do all my veteran online friends. Our future, which once looked bright and sunny, are nothing now, as we all fail our exams because we smoke diablo 2 drug instead of studying. Now I've got some super duper wowzers items, but what are they worth? NOTHING. They are just a sorry reminder of how many hours I wasted. COMPLETELY WASTED... Games are meant to be fun, entertaining, and mind-stimulating. Diablo 2 is none of them. Okay, all you Diablo 2 newbies who think this game is the world, give me a NO vote, I don't care, I can only laugh at your pitiful future.... MUAHAHAHA.
