Rating: Summary: they got it right Review: This one was a real surprise to me - I usually play shooters like Quake/Doom/Descent in single player mode because in europe we have bad (and expensive) net connections. But from the start it behaved like a multiplayer - no huge levels to explore, backtracking etc. just straight into the fun.Basically it felt like playing with real people - the other figures can get pretty aggressive. But they also turn on each other rather than all going for you. And they all run around a lot so it feels much more like a Multiplayer. The fun fact is that it is easier to win a game with loads of enemies than one with just one - because in the latter case then (s)he focuses on you. It's fast and furious, levels are not too big, lots of secret areas, designed with just fun in mind. The graphics are in a class of its own, comparable to descent3 - very colorful! Makes a great difference to Q2. Gameplay is fantastic if you have a PC fast enough and a good 3d accelerator.
