Summary: Excellent Game!
Review: "House Party" is a must for any owner of The Sims! This expansion pack comes with more skins, items, and much more! They did an excellent job putting in lots of new items for party usage.

Summary: An okay expansion for a great game
Review: Frankly I was a little disappointed in this expansion; certainly it doesn't compare to "Livin' Large" in terms of fun potential, but it has some neat new stuff.

The party option in my case almost always seems to bring the cops AND the mime, and does little to improve relationships.

Some of the new goodies are fun, but some areas seem woefully neglected. We have a zillion variations of the 'tropical island wallpaper' theme but still only 2 sinks and one counter for the bathroom? You guys, consult with an architect or interior designer! More beds! More 'love' beds! More architectural styles!

Make the computers do more! Let the SIMs email, meet people online... buy stuff!

And most importantly, more pets. The guinea pig is too dangerous. Make birds, make some ambulatory pets, like cats and dogs that function sort of like real SIM characters!

The SIMs still has a TON of untapped potential!

Summary: Not bad, not great, but not bad
Review: House party adds new stuff, objects, walls/floors, stairs, skins, ya know, stuff. It also adds to the time it takes to load, and just play the game, it got really visibly slower. If you've downloaded lots of objects, like a hundred you might have it be even slower.
Mine stopped working so I reloaded it, installed it really, and lost all my downloaded objects, but it went a little faster.

Parties aren't all they cracked up to be. I've had mimes come to dj hosted dance and bubble fiestas and Drew Carey came to a pool party I had. Plus, all those people really slow the game down.

Oh well, keep your fingers crossed for Hot Date to be in stores maybe even the same month it's suppesed to come out.

Summary: Tight Game
Review: I am going to make a list of pros and cons because that will be easier to understand.

Pros:
Has excellenct new wallpapers and floors
Has fun new characters like the cake dancer
Has new music like rap, techno, and country dance
Has really cool themes

Cons:
In order to have good party houses, you have to use rosebud (a money cheat) liberally
When there is a big party, your computer will slow down a ton unless you have a new iMac
It seems to detract the sense of reality created by the original sims and livin large.

Summary: Odd Behavior & Some Cool Objects
Review: I like the new wood paneling and the wood floors and the new brick patterns. The parties are sleazy and expensive. More than one celebrity should appear other than just Drew Carey. What I really don't like is the way this new add-on affects Sim behavior: They stand differently and spend more time standing and doing nothing before actually doing anything. I liked their behavior better when they would stand there and wipe their nose, scratch their behind, etc. Now they just pose stupidly. Come to think of it, if you thought the Sims acted stupid before...

Summary: Too Sleezy
Review: I thought we were trying to teach our kids to stay away from Raves. Who would promote a game for teens that encourages a setting for the perfect rave party? Not to mention the sleezy dance cage. I'm embarressed that any moral family would consider this good entertainment for anyone in their family.

Summary: The BEST game I have ever played.YA HEAR ME?!BEST!
Review: If you haven't played this game, you DON'T know what fun is! Buy it. Recieve it. Play it. HAVE FUN OR ELSE!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An essential add-on to The Sims!
Review: If you love The Sims, you have to get House Party!
