Review: If you're looking for a great RTS game here you have it has a really cool gameplay and really cool units and also brings a cool campaign editor. The sound is also a neat thing. If you want a game RTS buy this if you like RTS games.

Summary: Make way for fun
Review: This game, is very cool. Each of the three races are all extremly different and have pros/cons. Much strategy is involved for defence, destroying enemys and finding your'e way around the huge maps. Hundreds of technologies can be researched to advance youre armys power. This game defenately is a top game for strategey lovers. I loved this fun and exiting game.

Summary: Sure, it's great...for a while
Review: Many people praise Starcraft for being a great RTS, but I have found my money spent better elsewhere. Starcraft begins as a whole lotta fun, very challenging, but the cons outweigh the pros in this botched game.Let's start with the good. The internet play is excellent, USE MAP SETTINGS offers many different types of games to play and make. The campaign missions are challenging and fun as well. The units are fun to ... and to employ in your army. Ok, now the bad. The units are horribly unbalanced. The three different races play so different from each other you actually have to get used to each of them. The unit balance is something that really disgusts me as well. Zealots simply rule over marines, even though in a sense they are supposed to be equals for the two races. The next concern is AI. The AI is simply terrible. I was appalled at how horrible the computer played. I wonder how long Blizzard worked on the AI. The coding must have simply been "BUILD MINER, MINE, ATTACK". The graphics are outdated by this day, but that is not so problematic that anyone should care about it in their decision to buy the game. The map editor could have been improved, but instead people have to download the map editor hacks to make a good map. The voice acting is good, nothing to be ashamed of. The cinematics were excellently done, that is true. But the cinematics don't come in abundance, once you're done with the campaigns, that's it. GOODBYE. The USE MAP SETTINGS feature is one thing that saves this game from the abyss. It's fun to make custom scenarios that are actually able to be played for a long time, rather than melee games which are simply "... ..." Well, if you really want a good RTS I do not suggest Starcraft. However, if you like strictly military based RTS's that have good sound effects and a nice system of play, this is your game.

Review: I love this game,the online games are awesome. The single player campaign game is a cool strategy game. All I'm going to say is that if your a person who loves to play online games and also a great action game.

Review: This game is not a bloody violent game. it is a game that will thrill you more than anything in the world. It is not boring or will you not get tired of this. This game is addictive and you will be compelled to play it all day long. t=This game has everything. The best graphics and sounds ever. If you get stuck on the game don't worry there a million web sites to help you to suceed in this game. The best thing about this game is the multiplayer on the internet (battle.net). This is the place where you can socilze with friends and compete in fierce battles. This game is the best and you should buy it at all costs.

Summary: Not As Good As It Gets
Review: Starcraft was one game I was looking forward to buying because I am such a big fan of strategy games, but i must say it is not the best. This game is rediculously futuristic. This game is a great idea with all the species and missions, but all the units and building structures are too futuristic to make a good game out of the storyline it has. The only reason it got two stars from me is because it is a blast to play online with friends or even just joining into a game with people you don't know. The whole online thing is very nicely set up and it is fun to play. If want it for that reason, get it. Other than than that get a real strategy game.

Review: know why i rated this game 5 stars? because its a fine game. if it werent a fine game it wouldna get five stars would it? 1. this game has actual strategy. No more can you just get thousands of infantry and excpect to blow up a base. The person with better technology will rule. 2. have you ever SEEN better multiplayer??? it kicks (...), you can play cooperative, tournament, or just a plain old two-player wack. 3. the 3 races are superb. Each art different, with their own style and technologys. 4. the AI is agressive, especially in the custom games where it can annihalate you all it wants. There is even a special custom campaig which you can find on the map editor and change. These are just a few great aspects. Trust me, leave Red Alert 2 on the virtual shelf. you'll have a lot more fun with this one.

Summary: old games still have merits
Review: for over 2 years, starcraft has appealed to the average gamer. An incredibly easy game to learn, but an incredibly difficult game to master. Never the game that had anything truly original, critics denied how great the game actually was. But in a true sense, starcraft is a game for the masses. The game appeals to someone who does not want to spend hours trying to figure out the controls. The game is simple enough, but it's addictive when it comes down to playing. With an internet game playing area, I've played for 2 years, and I've never grown tired. With hundreds of venues for gaming, clans, battlereports, and just plain playing, the game never loses its appeal. That's why, despite the fact that it's old, you should buy starcraft. With not a single word concerning starcraft 2, take the fun while it lasts.

Review: This game is fabulas I loved it. If you have not bought this game I recommend you do buy it! GOOD)This game has great strategy for the internet and the normal game. When you play over the internet you can play with pros newbies (begginers)and meet people from Canada, United States, France, England, Norway, Finland, Sweden and many other countries. The game has a nice bird's eye view of what is happening and the graphics are great. StarCraft has cutscenes that have great graphics and enjoyable to watch. You are able to pick from three different races Prottoss, Terran, and Zerg. The Prottoss are hight tech aliens, The Terran are a new species of humans, and the Zergs are filthy uneducated monsters. BAD) Nothing is really bad about StarCraft. Only small stuff like being cursed at by someone over the internet for making a mistake. The campaing editer is not so good till you get used to it then it becomes real fun. Im only ten years old and I started when i was 8 and I still love this great game. If your playing on the internet make sure I do not beat you. End.

Summary: Dated by now, but a true classic
Review: With Blizzard seeming to be well into finishing off WarCraft 3, it seems that StarCraft's days are numbered. But the fact that this game has remained so popular for such a long time (on a gaming timeline) points to the fact that it has been such a great game. There have been few games which I've played which were so well balanced and designed. Granted, compared to many of today's games it's very simple; but this kept the game clean and honest. The gameplay is still very addicting and fun and writing about it makes me want to load it up again and give it another go. If you've never had the good fortune to play this game I would whole-heartedly recommend it. It can usuall be found(along with it's expansion pack "Brood Wars") at very low prices and then you too can claim to have played a classic. :-)
