Review: Ever wanted to play a real time action game??? If you said yes, This is the game for you. Starcraft is really realistic and has great 3-d maps and zones that you play on. There are three campains that try to control the universe. The three campains are not just different races/species that perform the same. They are different races/species that have different units and strengths. Such as Zerg might come at you with a lot of people and Protoss might come at you with fewer people but stronger people. This game has a multiplayer mode where you can play friends on Battlenet.net connections. You can also play against the computer with up to eight bases against you or just one. If you like games with challenge, action and the opportunity to play your friends, Starcraft is the game for you.

Summary: One heck of a game
Review: Starcraft is one of the best combat / strategy games ever ;0). The basic game play is pretty easy to pick up and if you play the single player missions in order you'll quickly learn the strengths and weaknesses of each troop type. Then the fun really begins when you battle against real opponents across the Internet. After you have played the single player missions you'll have your favorite race (Terran, Protos or Zerg). You'll come up with your own tactics on how to deal with your opponents There is a huge on-line community out there defending the 'Honor' of each respective race. Buy the game and come play. This game came out back in 1998 and it is still being played now. Few games can say they have that lasting appeal. Starcraft is great on it's own but Starcraft really needs to be played with the expansion Starcraft:Brood war; it adds more depth to both the game and tactics with new missions and new units. If you don't own Starcraft instead of buying starcraft by itself buy the Starcraft: battle chest and get Starcraft, Starcaft: Broodwar and strategy guides for both games. The battle chest is well worth the extra.

Summary: An Awesome Game!!!!
Review: This game is awesome. I got it several years ago and its great! I have been a previous Blizzard fan and have enjoyed Warcraft 1 and 2 a lot but this game blows them away! It supports both the Mac and PC and does not require an expensieve video card. The Price is awesome! Also if you like Starcraft, check out Brood War, the expansion pack. Both are quite reasonably priced. The Multipayer is good and the AI is quite good as well. You can also create your own maps and ply them online. BUY THIS GAME!

Summary: Star Craft. Good Game, But a bad map editer.
Review: As I said, This is a good game, Acctually it's a great game. One of the best strategy games i have played(Along with Age of Empires 2 and The Sims). I have always liked another game, age of empires as whell(I reccomend you check that out too), But this is a little bit different. Unlike in AoE, were you just control humans, in this you control one of three species. The Zerg, The Protoss or the Terran(Human).Each with there own special units and abilitys. The Graphics are acctually pretty good, Though some looks a little to cartoony(Not cartoony, i mean to much like animated stough). You have 3 campiangs to play.(Duh, one for each Race/Species). The one problem with it is its map editer. I had always liked creating my own maps and scenarios in Aoe and was looking forward to creating maps on this game, but was dissapionted. You can decide on the terrain and were resurces are and where you start, but thats about it. It has this stupid dfault thing were evan if you "DO" put units, They just put your town center/Conrl center/Nexus, etc, and four worker units. There is suppose to be some thing you type in in the propertis box to change this but it never works no matter what I do. Despite this problem, its a good game. Buy it

Review: This game is all the strategy gamer wants! It has three different species that you can play Terren, Protoss, Zurg. They are all challenging in they're own way. Each species has different ups and downs, but overall, this game is one of the best created in the world!!!

Summary: To be or not to be...Let's kill all
Review: This game is so much fun, I think everybody should at least try it. I like looking at some Terrans being killed by one of my killer Lurkers burried in the ground. And then erasing all other creatures on the map is great! On the other hand it is very easy to be killed by the computer, but you can even have a friend with you playing another race, helping you...or get rid of you! As you like it. So come on and try it!!!!

Summary: Blizzard makes the best games...
Review: Obviously those one-star reviewers are not true gamers, for if you learn how to play Starcraft (go through all of the missions,) you will realized that "the most powerful" units can be countered, and that this game is NOT boring. Blizzard's Starcraft has a rich storyline, starting at the beggining to the end, unlike some games (C&C for example,) the characters in this game are real, belivable, and interesting. This is much more than just a real time strategy, its an interactive book. Once going though all of the missions, you can enjoy free game playing online (provided you have an internet connection) and explore different ways to defeat your enimies.This is HIGHLY recomemended, as is the BroodWar expansion set which carries on this compelling story. While the graphics in Starcraft may not be the BEST, having lower quality graphics lets more people enjoy this game. Its not like the're DOS quality or anything... yeesh. I'd rate this 5 stars anyday!

Summary: another cool Blizzard game!
Review: A long time ago, I heard of a great game called Starcraft. Just recently, I played it at a friend's house and loved it so much I had to go out and buy it. Starcraft has excellent sound variety and alright graphics, but what stunned me the most was the strategy involved in building and defending your colony, and eventually destroying the enemy. Loved the battlenet!

Summary: I love this game!
Review: This is the best game ever. I absolutely love it! The single player mode entertained me for a year with its story lines and fun, yet challenging missions. Their is a way to beat every level, u just have to come up with a unique strategy for each level. After I got tired of the single player campaign, the playing on battle net has entertained me for years and I don't think ill ever get bored of it. Some people say their is no strategy involved but I disagree. Their are trees to hide behind and mountains with tactical advantages. Also, I like the diversity of the troops. They each are unique in their own way and if mixed properly, are very dangerous. Their are plenty of different strategys u can employ. All in all, this is my favorite game ever and will continue to be until Starcraft 2 comes out. So buy it

Review: Starcraft is so cool i mean it has the most awsome gameplay and its so hard. OH and some cheats are power overwhelming-invincibility, modify the phase variance- so like in zurg you dont have to keep making overlords, show me the money-10,000 money, operation cwal-makes building go a lot faster, food for thought-unlimited gas or sometin, and the gathering does somthing good but i forget what
