Rating: Summary: A star trek maniac Review: Hardly worth my [money]! I thought it would be a great SFC game but I thought wrong. The first two SFC were spectacular but ORION PIRATES went wrong in everyway possible!
Rating: Summary: "The only logical thing to do" Review: I always loved star trek and that is the exact reason why i never had a very good game to play becouse most of the star trek games are teribble but star trek armada1/2 is an exception. It's truely a great game, it has a full 3D graphiks and excelent game interface, of course there is still place for improvement but the overall picture of the game is very good. The game is suitable not only for star trek fans but also to every RTS games lover so the only logical thing to do is to buy the game.
Rating: Summary: This is the best Star Trek game ever Review: Fun puzzles, great voice acting, great lip-synching, and most emportantly -- REALLY GOOD WRITING. This game captures the spirit and feel of its source material better than any other STAR TREK game has before or since -- the reason: it has a sense of humor and a sense of camradery. The people behind it clearly knew Trek inside out, and this product was clearly a labor of love.
Rating: Summary: yuk!!! Review: Couldn't even load it. what good is a great price if you can't even play it?
Rating: Summary: Excellent Series of Episodes Review: Judgement Rites is one of the best early Trek games. It isdesigned to be just like early Star Trek episodes. You start each mission on the bridge of the Enterprise where you receive your orders. Before you know it, you are right in the middle of a battle or something strange. The drama mounts right away. The graphics and sounds are very good and the stories rival the best episodes of Star Trek. This is a must have for all Trek fans.
Rating: Summary: A taste of the past Review: I think that you'll like this gaem if you're into satr trek. It doesn't have the greatest graphics but it is supposed to be old
Rating: Summary: The Best Star Trek Game Made Review: The "puzzle sequences" the other reviewer refers to are episodes, each one a complete story done in a style very precisely mirroring the original series. The idea, and it's done VERY well, is to present fans with a new mini-season of Star Trek (7 stories). This is one of my all-time favorite computer games and I admit I'm a little offended by the off-hand and inaccurate portrayal of the game by the other reviewier. Each story in this game is an eposide and very true to the original show. Each episode tells a story with all the plot density of the real show. Even Trelane, the character from The Squire of Gothos, returns, and the voice actor is the same man who played Trelane in the original show! In fact ALL the voices of the original cast contributed their voices specifically for this game. That's right, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, and the rest went to a studio and acted from a script written especially for this game. The only downside to this game is that it was made a while back and so the graphics are cartoonish. The stories and acting, however, are excellent. The cut-scenes (which were created and added to the game about a year after its original release) are quite good, and the gameplay is excellent as well. I highly recommend it if you are a Star Trek fan or a computer adventure game fan.
Rating: Summary: A fun wast of time Review: This game consists of several linked but unrelated puzzle stages with some bref space combat in between. What I mean by linked but unrelated is that while completion and exploration of each of the puzzle stages helps to further the plot, what you do in one stage dose not nessicarly affect what happens in any of the later stages, nor do any of the items that you may happen to pick up transfer from one stage to the next. While it was fun to play a game involving the original cast, and it dose have some replayabity with alternate outcomes and extra points you can pick up, it is not for everybody.
Rating: Summary: Great Game. Review: As in most of my reviews, I use the word "solid." While this game doesn't match up to Aliens Vs Predator 2, I enjoyed it much more than the original Elite Force. For me, the graphics were much improved. I found this game a bit more challenging than the first. It was hard enough at times, to get me frustrated. Yet not too hard to throw in the towel. You'll battle aliens on different ships in the galaxy. Sound and effects rate a 3, controls a 4, and the graphics 4+ but not a 5. AvP 2 is still my favorite shooter, but this is a pleasing experience for both Trek fans and gamers alike.
Rating: Summary: STAR TREK: STARFLEET COMMAND 3 Review: Star Trek Starfleet Command 3. Could there ever be a better game? After you play this game, you will answer that question the smae way I did. No. In SFC3, you can play as Federation, Klingon, Romulan, and Borg. From the sleek Soverign class vessel (U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-E) to the massive Borg Cube. Fire a variety of weapons, including Quantum Torpedoes, Phasers, Disruptors, and Gavemetiric Torpedoes. Beam you troops over on hit-and-run raids to disable enemy systems, or to attempt the impossible: take over the entire vessel.
Create fleets of up to five vessels, and gang up on small vessels. Invade enemy territory in missions ranging from Planetary Scan, Assulting defensless stardocks, or taking a suicidal run on an enemy starbase.
Launch Probes, cloak, use an anti-cloaking scan, launch specialized shuttles, an perform eratic manuvers. Manage your sheilds to prevent enemy boarding parties from completeing their mission. Name your ship, and create ships from the shows like the U.S.S. Defiant, and visit noted locations such as Sector 00,01 (Earth), Romulus, Remus, The Borg Homeworld, and the legendary home of th klingons, Q'ronos.
Engage in 4 epic campagins, icluding for all major star empires, The United Federation of Planets, The Kligon Defense Fleet, The Romulan Star Empire, and the Borg Collective. Or, you can just ignore polotics, and go on to conquer the galaxy.
Anyway, you can count on SFC3 being the best STAR TREK game ever. It is not worth the $90.00 it's being sold for, though, so buy it at a computer game store. Good Luck Conquering the galaxy. You can e-mail me if you have any questions about the game at comderbashir@yahoo.com Jolan Tru
