Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional Upgrade from Standard Version 4-7 (Mac)

Summary: Not impressive at first glance
Review: In contrast to other Adobe products, Acrobat has long seemed clutzy. With version 6 I could never scan multiple pages and have them be readable by Preview. Now with v. 7 the peculiarities add up. When I save new pdf files in Acrobat, they don't even appear in the list of files when I try to Open in Preview. They don't even appear grayed out! Yet, they are visible on the desktop and when they are dragged and dropped onto Preview they open . . . or they don't. Sometimes things work, and sometimes they don't. You apparently can't even set the default level of version compability unless you do a file reduction, which can really befuddle Preview. The most important thing that Adobe needed to do with this upgrade was to make it more reliable. At this they seem to have failed.
