Rating: Summary: Just what I needed Review: I could not figure out what was wrong with my Sony MD player until a friend suggested I try a lens cleaner. Since I live in the boonies of Michigan, I found this item at Amazon.com and ordered it. As soon as it arrived I tried it out on my MD recorder. It worked! The machine now works like new! I recommend this item highly.

Rating: Summary: it works very well Review: i did not purchace my cleaner from amozon but i do have one and it dose work. first of all if you get junk on your lens it needs to be cleaned immediatly. this is a good product to do so, another person had a problem because he didnt do what is (or should be) recomended in the manual. you are supposed to clean the lens every 10 hours of play and your laser writter every 6-10 hours of recording. this is a good product if used properly. the person who says it dosn't work is mistaken and should get the mechanix checked.
Rating: Summary: MiniDisc Novice Review: I purchaed my Sony CD/Minidisc (ZS M35) in December 2001 and my Sony Minidisc (MZ-E300) player in March 2003. Even though they were purchaed new about 2 years apart, they both fell apart at the same time. I went online to find a cleaner and after reading the reviews for the Maxell, I ordered it. It works wonderfully. No skips and bumps; no highs and lows -- expect for the music. I have one problem, it takes 68 minutes which seems like an extremely long time -- on 6 tracks. Besides that, it works great and so, I will take an hour out the first of every month (instead of every 10 hours per instructions, which I think is overkill) to keep my electonics on tip top order.
Rating: Summary: Just what I needed Review: My Sony portable minidisc recorder was acting up when I recorded and played tracks. It would spontaneously erase the disc and render it unusable, evidently because of a table of contents write error probably due to dust on the lens. I bought this cleaner and used it in 1 minute from getting the package and the player was instantly working like new again.
Rating: Summary: Maxell MiniDisc Lens Cleaner Did Not Meet Expectations Review: When I found a "C13" error on my MiniDisc system, the Sony tech rep told me to purchase a lens cleaner. Amazon being the only retailer online to sell them, I immediately purchased this cleaner from them. When I received it three days later, my recorder, which would often spit out an inserted MD with the words "TOC Error", also spit out this. After a few more times, I coaxed my machine into accepting the disc, then ran it. After a long, advertising track 1, track two began with instructions on how to clean. I ran the cleaner (skip from tracks 1 to 3), then kept listening to the rest of the disc. There were sounds tests, and more advertising. Then I ejected the disc. I put in another disc, and I got "TOC Error". I was very unhappy, and ran the test again. Same result. I'm still 1-for-5 in working MD's (and they aren't the MD, b/c I have a portable player that just works fine...I just have to get the dust out of my recorder/player.) I guess Maxell forgot to mention that the cleaner only cleans your wallet...not your MD player.
