Rating: Summary: Works Wonders on Scratched CDs, DVDs and PS2 games Review: This device has saved several of my CDs, DVDs and PS2 games! Works exactly as advertised - Easy to use and gets the desired results.
Rating: Summary: Fair job Review: It does a reasonable job of resurfacing, but it doesn't work as well as a very similar product by another company that is no longer on the market. It tends to pop open during the repair process. Replacement parts are absurdly expensive.
Rating: Summary: Does What It Says It Does...Repair! Review: As a avid music listener, most of my cds have gotten scratched here and there and then after awhile, they would stop working. I got this, that all changed. The only thing that sucks though is that now i gotta buy the replacement kit cause the wore the wheel out hehe.
Rating: Summary: Works Great Review: I bought this product to repair my beloved GTA:SA DVD. I had the DVD in my PS2 which was at a 45 degree angle. Then the DVD fell of the track and started making a grinding sound. I opened up the tray and looked at the DVD. There were two long scratches near the edge of the DVD. I tried playing the GTA, however, I could only load the game and not play it before I received a "Disk Read Error". I decide to try out the Game Doctor which the same thing as the Skip Doctor(just a different color). Now GTA works perfectly.
Rating: Summary: Good, but could be better value Review: This did its job, I had a several CDs that looked like they were beyond any hope for repair now play fine. There were also some CDs I had that it helped some, but still couldn't play right. After about 10 CDs, it broke; while I suppose it could be said it paid for itself. But I was hoping for more bang for my buck, I don't think I'll be buying another.
Rating: Summary: Not For Cleaning Review: This is a vey good product. However it is a last ditch save for damaged disks. NOT A CLEANING PRODUCT. It will polish a thin layer of plastic off the disk, and it will have a slightly more matt aperance for doing so. (as well as the lines that you have read about) I WILL NOT MAKE A GOOD CD EVEN BETTER . . . It just might save those 1 or 2 CD's that some terrible accident caused it to get this way. If you got anymore than a few CD's to restore . . . you got to put them out of the reach of those kids that dont understand the the value of money. back a few up on the burner and let them play with those.
USE A LOT OF WATER. 5 or so squirts . . . even then i give an extra spray on to the area of the disk traveling into the edge.
