Summary: Love it but am tired of it.
Review: I absolutely love this software program but will Microsoft never update and create a new version???Does anybody know anything about a newer version being in the works?

Summary: A So-So Product
Review: I agree with much of what other reviewers had written on Picture It, yet I can get it to work more than what they could. It does not produce what the product claims it does. It's slow and does not have as much editing tools such as Print Shop or Photo Deluxe has. Better to save your money and buy Photo Deluxe especially if you are working with photos.

Summary: I tell everyone about this program!
Review: I am a Computer User Support Specialist and a member of a Computer User Group and I teach Computer Classes to beginning computer users. I use this program myself with my digital camera and scanner. It eliminates the need for your computer or scanner software and just gives you one amazing program that does it all. A perfect buy for a begiiner to an advanced user- EASILY convert pictures to jpegs and resize them without even knowing what a "pixel" is. Crop, rotate, red-eye reduction... repair old photos- create flyers, banners, cards, etc similar to print shop or print artist- Easily uses label templates, business cards, index cards- you name it! Wonderful templates and clipart. Create your own e-mail "multimedia" presentations and slide shows with music, graphics, and your own photographs. I wouldn't use any other program and I have three beginning level users who bought it, installed it, and learned how to do everything on their own! Works just like other Windows programs by Microsoft... It's a great buy! I have used it to convert all the photos for my own website...and to size pictures to sell my items at online auction. Make Calendars, Use photo templates for Cute picture frames. Crop your face and put it on other "template" bodies for funny caricature type printouts. Very Easy to use!

Summary: Tell Me How...
Review: I am trying to find a way to tell Microsoft that this program or any other PictureIt!! programs I have tried just will not install properly. Hundreds and hundreds of thumbnails are just not there and it is very frustrating because I think this has some good graphics and photos etc. My computer is an HP Pent111 and lots of RAM and only 2 years old!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled dozens of times. I have tried phoning Microsoft Canada but can never get through!! Mrs. Louise Fair

Summary: Don't buy Picture It if you are up-grading to XP!!!
Review: I bought Picture It and then recieved a discounted offer to up-grade my new PC to Windows XP. There isn't anything Picture It can do that Windows XP does. Most of the picture editting, file transfer, clip art, and web-publishing items are available as part of XP or on the Web for free. I had to go to the Microsoft Picture It upgrade site to make it compatible with my XP and assumed the XP version would have some features not available on XP, it doesnt. Save your money and upgrade to XP, but that is another story as you have to upgrade most of your drivers...

Summary: Don't buy this if you have a Windows 2000 Operating System
Review: I bought this product based on excellent reviews I read in trade publications. Unfortunately, in a Windows 2000 or Windows NT operating environment, this program only runs when the user is logged on as Administrator. That means that, unless you are willing to give every member of your family all administrative privileges, which is dangerous, the program is useless. I called Microsoft technical support, and was told that "we have received this complaint from others, too." Their only suggestion was that I upgrade my OS to Windows XP. I am returning the product to Microsoft.

Summary: Corrupted, and still corrupted but better
Review: I bought this program after getting a digital camera. When i first opened the program, it was pretty helpful. But when i clicked on Web Pages, an illegal operation came up. When I exited, another one came up and i had to restart my computer. The next time i used it, it said it was corrupt. Called Microsoft and they told me to download two files. After resolving the problem (VirusScan was running when i first installed it) i opened it. Everything was good, until i got another illegal operation. So thanks a lot for that Microsoft! At least i can use the program and it has some pretty good features. Next time though, I'll use PhotoImpact or PhotoSuite.

Summary: Do not waste your money
Review: I had Picture It 2001 & never had a problem so I thought I would upgrade. What a mistake! It locks up, crashes, will not print my envelopes so on & so forth. I contacted support about the envelope problem & was told that there were issues with some printers. They tried to help but if you do not answer them within a day or two they take you off the list. I don't understand the printer issue, I did not change printers just software, it worked on the 2001 version which I think I will re-install.
