Review: I ended up purchasing this more for a hobby than anything else. You definitely will need to get used to the overwhelming capabilities of this software! There are many free online groups and tutorials to get you started and on your way quickly.If you want to try something new, this is a great idea. Even if all you want to do is decorate you website, create your own stationery, or fix up those pictures, it's worth it.

Summary: Animations In Two Hours
Review: This will be very brief. From the time of loading the software until i had an animated signature with quill.....two hours. This is a great product. If you find a product that can give you results quicker, let me know. THIS ONE IS GOOD, AND EASY.

Summary: Excellent Software!
Review: As a professional web designer and developer, I spend a lot of time creating and editing graphics. With advanced tools such as the Magic Wand, multi-layer control, scratch remover, intuitive drawing, built-in effects, animation editor, and intuiative interface...this program has everything you'll need at 1/2 the price of the others. Jasc has a strong and loyal following ... and for good reason!

Summary: Paint Shop Pro... Not too bad...
Review: If you are a casual person looking for a good graphics editor, then this is a great package for you. JASC Paint Shop Pro is economical compared to many other products of its caliber, and offers many advanced features found in pricier packages. This package also includes a FANTASTIC GIF animator that is easier to use than many others that I have tried. For the money that you are paying out you can't get much better. If you are looking for an economical solution, or are involved in minor web/presentation graphics development this is for you. For more money, however, you can purchase Adobe Photoshop which is significantly better than JASC software...but then again you're paying 7x as much. Overall this is a great piece of software.

Summary: Great software. Even better people (users)
Review: I am not a graphics professional, but from time to time I have to do stuff as if I were, in addition to my own messing around with photos, etc. I've been using PSP since version 5, and love working/playing with it. Even more, I love the people who support it -- especially the army of users who are incredibly generous with their time, patience and expertise on several web sites devoted to PSP tutorials, at the PSP Users Group web site and in the newsgroup dedicated to PSP -- comp.graphics.apps.paint-shop-pro
I have gotten answers to every question I have had about using PSP -- often within minutes of posting my query. Before you buy it, do a web search for "PaintShop Pro tutorials." Not only is the program friendly, so are the people who use it and are willing to help you over the rough spots. Who could ask for anything more?

Summary: Affordable Graphics Software Packed With Power!
Review: Few times in life do you feel you truly got what you paid for after you get it home. This is one of those. If you have used ANY other graphics software, you will probably not need to use the book or on-board "help" as much as you'd think. It's very user friendly. I was able to totally restore a valued photograph that had been both creased and loaded with water spots to the point that you can tell. I was able to repair all the damage and produce a picture on my computer. You can retouch any image and do all the tricks that you thought was reserved for those $5-600 programs.

Summary: DON'T BUY IT
Review: I would not give this a single star; I downloaded this a while ago and the only useful thing it did was replace colors, and it wasn't until after a month I finally figured out how to draw (and I'm not the worst at computers). When I tried to uninstall the thing, I found out that it messes with file extensions; meaning that normal files like jpegs no longer worked. The proper way to associate with files, by the way, is through remote addresses, meaning it should not open using the program, but the program should instead open the file. This is something even the inventors of MS Paint knew, and Paint is considered the worst (actually I like Paint, but that's besides the point).

Summary: An economical learning experience.
Review: I have used MGI and Picure It but this program is by far more comprehensive and educational than those programs. Vector, raster, masks, tubes, etc. are all new terms to me, and I am learning more every day. I have never used any of the Adobe graphic programs (can't afford them) but Paint Shop Pro 7.0 has to be one of the best bargains on the market. This program is worth the price if only for the learning experience.
