Summary: "A" Plus!?... Well.........................
Review: If your computer meets the minimum specs, yes even those in tiny print, then you will most likely enjoy the enhancements this adds to your computer. Missing that 16 MB video card, don't bother with Plus!.Like screensavers? What about 3-D? How about trying 3-D Screensavers! Plus! pack will add these new screensavers onto your computer and let the fun begin as you watch fish swim in a realistic aquarium or a circus type scene play before your eyes... If you're a gamer, the bowling game is GREAT... The only problem is that it is a light edition, so to unlock its full functionality you'll have to pay! The labyrinth game is great and quite difficult to do, will keep you playing for hours! The themes are good if you use themes... Remember that space theme from ME? Its back in a revamped fashion! Also there are themes for an aquarium and some other interesting ones... Personally I don't like the themes! The new enhancements to Media Player are OK, but are not really worth the difficulty of configuring. Do you really want to give commands to your computer with your voice? Catch a cold, and this functionality won't work anyway... Overall this is an OK package, but not one that I would spend the money on. After buying this, I was sorry... I won't make the same mistake again!

Summary: Hey! Not so bad!
Review: I read many of the unfavorable reviews here for this product. Still, I had heard that the aquarium screensaver itself was worth the [an amount of money], so I decided to give it a try. I am glad to say that it was a very good decision. Sure it is yet another way for Microsoft to make more money, but just the same I like it. The aquarium screensaver IS worth the [an amount of money]. I have never seen anything like it. It actually looks like a real aquarium. Very, very cool. True, they only give you three fish but it is stunning nonetheless. The reason why there is an offer to buy more fish is because this is a third-party product. I fell in love with the aquarium right away and was more than happy to buy 20 more fish (you can only use 7 at a time to avoid overcrowding). You don't need to buy extra ones at all to enjoy it. Next, the games..the bowling game is stunted, but only with choices of bowling alleys. There are two, a normal alley and an Ancient Rome theme. I prefer the normal one so as far as I am concerned this is a complete game. The Labyrinth game needs to be experienced to believe. And it IS a full version. In fact, you can go online and download additional themes and levels for this one. Definitely a keeper. Russian square, a tetris-like challenge is the full-version as well. Very engaging. Now to the themes...it is true there are only four, but they are outstanding and they are NOT the same ones from prior versions of windows. New icons, new sounds, new desktops. The accompanying screensavers are positively unbelievable! You get a whole bunch...aside from the ones from the themed ones. One called "Robot Circus" is hilariously fascinating. "Sand Pendulum" and "Mercury Pond" are also pretty wild. I tweaked my PC speakers with the included utility and the difference was a little noticable, but nothing great. I haven't used any of the other multimedia functions yet. I don't have a lot of money to throw around. [An amount of money] is a lot to me. But I can honestly say this is worth it. If you love visuals, this is the ticket. Everything is pure eye candy. Just make sure your PC meets the requirements, because you will definitely need them. This product is really not the dog that others have made it out to be.

Summary: So far no problems but....
Review: I gave in and upgraded from 98 to XP. I do admit it has reduced crashes and seems faster. A little advice, you will lose all you have email wise if you use Outlook Express for you email. All folders etc and everything in your in box goes bye bye. Microsoft has a link on how to get it back FYI. Don't buy the Windows XP Plus! software, waste of money.

Summary: Spend Your Money How You Want
Review: When I read "Display your photos in new ways", I thought this might be what I want -- to display my photos in a 3D environment setting, and I bought this product from a retail store. But I was very disappointed with the limited function provided in the product. It provides only 6 very basic types of arrangement, not even as impressive as some free software. Recently, however, I bought a new software product called 3D-Album, which has much richer 3D presentations, and for 25 bucks, you got over 20 fantastic models, and you can even download new models posted daily from their website, for free! I like the XP Plus Aquarium. But it has only three fishes. To get more fishes, I have to pay more. If Microsoft could offer free downloads of new fishes like how 3D-Album does in their website, I wouldn't want to return this product!

Summary: I was given this as a gift and...
Review: I'm going to give it right back. 3 games. Only 1 is the complete version(at least I think it's the complete version, I didn't really play long enough to find out), the second you have to go online and download the rest of and the third you have to pay money to upgrade to the full version. There are eight screen savers, and the only one I actually liked is the aquarium, and to get the full version of it, you have to pay for it. The four(yes, only four!) themes are kinda stupid. Plus for win95/98 had better themes, and a whole lot more of em. The Windows media player upgrades...please, like I even use the windows media player. I got a better music player with my sound card and I play movies with the player that came with my DVD drive. What do I need windows media player for? This would be a better deal if it actually included something useful. Anything at all. Instead you're shelling out big bucks for an incomplete, and rather worthless product. Thus far the only thing I'm using that came with Windows XP Plus! is the little moon trash can icon on the space theme. The rest of it is a waste of hard drive space. I intend to uninstall it as soon as I get done writing this, put it back in the box, and give it back to the guy who gave it to me. I can do without the moon trash can icon. Glad I didn't pay for it myself. And I sure hope he can get his money back.

Summary: Where does the plus come in??
Review: This is not worth the money at ALL!!
It provides basically no functionally. The audio convertor will only convert your music files to wma(microsofts format) when mp3s are way better. The games are fun for about 2 mintues and you better have a fast system with a desent graphics card. You get a fish bowl screen saver but only 3 fish unless you want to pay for more fish!! The audio plugin for windows media player does nothing and only works for about 5 different brand of speakers. Just not worth the money. If it drops to 10 bucks than it might be worth it but other than that take that 40 bucks and buy more RAM

Summary: The themes are great!
Review: I buy packages like this for the extra themes, screensavers, etc. I certainly wasn't disappointed with my latest Plus! purchase. The Sand Pendulum screen saver is slick. The 'Nature2' wallpaper is better than any picture I've ever taken. The maze game isn't bad either...

Review: This little Microsoft XP add On is a major RIP OFF!!
I love the Aquarium screen saver but did they really have to spam us with an added feature offer for an additional [price] you can add 6 more fish to the tank! Please!!!
There isn't anything more i can say for it's [amount]price tag but Stay Away!

Summary: This is a VISUAL Plus for XP
Review: Some people are just whiners. This version of Plus is NOT like the other products. It is a VISUAL experience, and you can see it in all of the stores, so you need not feel misled when you buy it. If you have a fast computer, a good video card with 16 meg. on board and the computer in general has plenty of memory, you WILL be impressed! Sure I wish it came with more, but then I wish I made $200,000 a year polishing Bill Gates shoes. It aint going to happen. Buy it and enjoy it. Remember, if you buy a Benze, you don't ask what kind of millage it gets. Oy!
