Review: Sandra; hope you get to read this before giving up on this great little program.
Check your printer drivers and spooler. I'm as close to a computer guru as you'd want having
played with computers in general and PC's in particular since the heady early days of Sinclair,
Kildall, and Adam Osborne. Installed Hallmark Card Studio on my beloved's machine several
years back. Was immediately impressed with how thoughtfully programed for the beginner - my
lady took to it immediately - and yet how full featured it was for an advanced user (only wish
could import export data to other address books, and wouldn't it be great to have a Palm
conduit?!-)(I digress!-).
Every new version just gets better to the point 2004 has close to two gigs of cards and imagery.
In short, Sandra Hallmark Card Studio 2004 IS A KEEPER.
Now, approve of your using 98SE, I recommend to my students (yes I teach computing) not to go
beyond 98SE and certainly not to connect anything from MS to the InterNet beyond 98SE (little
thing code name of Palladium!-(
There can be problems with corrupting printer drivers and notably spool32. Try removing your
printer under START >SETTINGS >PRINTERS, restart your computer with the printer on and
reinstall. Hope this helps and you learn to enjoy this little gem of a program. HBH

Summary: This program should be recalled.
Review: As an avid user of Hallmark Card Studio programs, I must say that I am highly disappointed in Card Studio Deluxe 2004.This program refused to load on my XP machine. After spending considerable time and troubleshooting with the moderators of Hallmark Card Studio 2004, it was discovered if you previously had a particular version of Print Artist (Print Artist 12 in my case) installed on your computer, then uninstalled it, Card Studio 2004 would not load. Even though I do not want and use the Print Artist program (taking up disk space), I had to reinstall it in order for Card Studio to load. Up until now Hallmark Card Studio Programs have been "5 star" programs. I've also found that there is not enough ethnic content...if it is there, it's hard to find. Come on Hallmark...we are a melting pot! This program should be recalled and the purchasers should be compensated either monetarily or with the upcoming 2005 version. Review: Help! This program will not let me print all of my address's unto christmas labels. When you go down to the arrow to check all address's it will not move. Any Help would be appreciated.

Summary: Upgrading from an older version of Card Studio Deluxe
Review: I had previously put Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe on my computer. When I loaded the new Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2004, it did not automatically import any of the addresses I had entered into the event planner of the old version. I emailed Sierra who made the software, and they told me it automatically imports the addresses from older versions. Well, it doesn't. When I wrote back and said it didn't import them and how should I do it, they did not answer my email. I don't think they know any more about it than I do. I will have to retype all those addresses in again.

Summary: Pleased in NE
Review: I have had Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2004 for about a week now and so far like what I see. I have had almost every version of CreataCard and Broderbund products will still be what I use the most because I do a lot of computer crafting and scrapbooking. Hallmark has a lot more to offer as far as very nice cards and if that is what you are looking for in a program you will probably like this most. I am glad I have both.

Review: I have just starting using Hallamrk Card Studio Deluxe 2004 and I love it. I have been reading that people are having problems with installing or running it on Windows XP, and that is what I use, but I had absolutely no problems with that. I have had trouble emailing the cards to a friend who has a tight virus scanner on her work computer, and her computer won't open the cards because they are "unsafe". But that is the only problem I am having. Otherwise, I am very impressed!

Summary: Very Disappointed
Review: I have one of Hallmark's first card softwares. There are so many things you can't do on this compared to my old one. There are many cards where you can't change the type, for ex. from "cousin" to "son", like you can on their old one. The old software you can click on the graphics and change it to something similar. This will not let you customize the size of the cards, even though it gives the options. I could go on and on. Not worth the price.

Summary: Works great except
Review: I just purchased the Hallmark Card Studio 2004 (...). Everything installed fine but when attempting to print a card, the first side printed fine, but when printing the next side I keep getting the "this program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down". I have been in contact with their technical support but have not had any luck so far. I have wasted a lot of paper and ink so far in getting just part of a card printed. I am running windows 98SE. I will probably be returning this to the store (if possible). It looked to have some nice cards on it, which is basically all I wanted it for, but for some reason will not print correctly on my computer.

Review: I just purchased this software and find that it doesn't even offer any July 4th ideas for invitations, cards or sentiments! This is the first software of this type that I've purchased and I would not recommend it.

Summary: Upgrading from Hallmark 2003
Review: I just received this new program two days ago and I am loving every minute of it..The new cards are beautiful as Hallmark's always are..I have used just about all the Hallmark programs out there and they just keep getting better and better..So far, this one's the BEST..I had a problem with the 2003 program similar to that of Talonii..I contacted Sierra and they told me there was a conflict with something else that I had running on my computer..It was my Office Bar that was the problem..When you put the office bar in Auto hide the cards will not come up..Turn it off and the problem is solved..Hope this helps..
