I tried it with my Sony ICF-M410V portable radio and learned that my favorite AM station (650 Khz) was accompanied by a significant high pitched whine which is not present when operating on batteries.
Perhaps all power supplies cause similar interference.

Review: Had same problem as others with this power supply. It will not work with radios yet this is the accessory that Amazon lists for the Sony ICF-M410V portable radio which does not come with a power supply (dumb!)

Summary: Amazon got this WRONG! Won't work with Sangean SG-622
Review: I bought a Sangean SG-622 12 Band AM/FM/Short Wave Receiver and Amazon had this AC adaptor as the one to buy for it. Well, it doesn't work with this radio so don't waste your money. Amazon needs to contact all customers that bought this item for the Sangean radio and apologize and offer a REFUND!

Summary: Not for Creative Nomad!!!
Review: I bought this charger for use with the Creative Nomad NX MP3 player, after seeing it was recommended in the amazon site for use with the Nomad.
Well... it seems that someone didn't even care to check if the technical specifications are correct!! after recieving it I discovered that it does not fit the specifications for the player (Creative engineers did not understand why amazon was recommending to buy this adaptor with the Nomad!!) and that the reversed polarity does not enable it to be a true "international" adapter. I only found reversed polarity in the US so the adaptor does not fit into any other socket or adaptor for European sockets!!!!
I am quite angry that no one cared to check if the specifications correlate with the Nomad before recommending to buy it.
So to sum up - don't get it. you will be throwing away your money.

Review: I recently purchased this item along with a Sony ICF-M410V radio for which it is listed by Sony as an accessory. Don't buy this item for use with any radio, Sony or other, as it produces static at lower frequencies and a steady signal-obliterating loud hum at higher frequencies. When I called Sony about this, the person with whom I spoke indicated an awareness of the problem. The recommended adaptor is an AC-E45HG, but it is not available in the US! It is listed on the Sony Style Canada site, but they will not ship to the US. Catch 22 completed.

Review: I was going to buy this to power a Sony SW radio I have as I try to spend a month in Israel every year. The Sony weighs a bit and I would have been very sorry to take an adapter with me that did not work. Thanks for the advice.
