Description:

The New Millennium Encyclopedia offers everything you could need from a resource of its kind--from quotations to clear explanations to grammar. With eight books included (plus the Versabook Library feature), your personal library will be up-to-date with accurate, timely information.

The most intriguing feature and one you may want to access first is the aforementioned Versabook Library. Versabook allows you to download e-books into your Millennium Encyclopedia, expanding your library from eight books to an infinite number. The download is quick and easy, with selections ranging from $7 to $20 each. Also included are plenty of free publications, including H.G. Wells's The World Set Free and Fredrick Douglass's My Bondage and My Freedom.

As you move into your browsing page, you'll see you have all your references in the upper left-hand side; the lower left-hand side contains the search and index fields; and the right side of your screen contains the resulting information. Here you access the e-books of your choice; your personal binders filled with complied information; and the media file containing displays that enhance your textual content.

The media choice adds another exceptional element to the encyclopedia. You can search and find various text documents, photographs, animations, and videos. Other searches uncover speeches and sound bytes. All appear on your browse screen, and each is well presented and clear to the eyes and ears.

The New Millennium Encyclopedia is fascinating for both the child and the adult on a quest for greater knowledge. As long as you don't mind swapping out CDs as they're called for, you'll enjoy supplementing your knowledge with everything from the antics of the frilled lizard to the history of the space program. --Madeleine Miller
