Summary: Catz 4 is a better deal
Review: I have just purchased Catz 5 and I think it is very low in entertainment. My previous adult cats that I had on Petz 4 I transfered them to Catz 5 but they were all kittens. So I had to wait twice as long to breed them. The toys are also a problem because you have to *earn them by playing stupid little games. The only thing that I liked about this game is that your can have multiple litters. which is great. So if it wasnt for the toys and the transfering of adult cats into Catz 5, I would rate it a 5 star game. I hope Catz 6 will be more improved.

Summary: Good overall
Review: I kind of like the fact that you play games to get toys and items, it adds another level to the game, which makes it more fun for older kids. My only problem with it is that I didn't even start out with a food bowl, so I had to play games until I got one, and that the games might be too hard or confusing for younger players (for instance, tic-tac-toe is impossible, it seems. I have to try three times just to get a square marked).The game seems to crash too often (played it yesterday for maybe two hours, had a crash about three times). It also wouldn't let me import a cat with a kitten from Catz 4. But I like the idea of litters, I like how the bath cleans up the "paint" you can put on your cat (not that I have a paint can yet...). One of the nice things about the new toy method, is that you always have all toys with you (well, all the toys you've won or found). It was always so frustrating to have to go back and forth from the toy closet just to get all the items you wanted into the kitchen, because you could only hold a small amount of items. It was also too easy to lose the treasures you found in Catz 4 (shells, bones, that sort of thing), and this new method fixes that.

Review: I looked at this game and I am truly over satisfied, I mean 2-d backgrounds, cool. I spent all my money on them that I've been saving from miny jobs!! It's just as good as any PC game I've ever seen I bet over a million people will buy it! Ive waited along time for a new pets versian this is fit enough to be Petz 6!! I love the new breeds (even though most of the catz I hadn't heard of!) Seeing the salon is fun, getting to wash your petz is funner though!! I always where the other part of some outfits were in petz 4, they're in petz 5 of course!! compliments on the game,

Review: I love Catz 4 and Dogz 4,I have both of them in my computer so it makes Petz 4!Me and my friend shared it,but now there is a 'Catz 5' and a 'Dogz 5' I'm really willing to buy it,but I don't know when.I'm gunna get my very own computer on Christmas,I don't know when I can get those new Cdz,thee Catz 5 and Dogz 5 !!!!!!Well,I don't really want to have the Babyz though........

Review: I love Catz and dogz. I loved Dogz 4. I always wanted Catz 4. Now that catz 5 is out i can not wait to get it. I read one of the revies it said hey 12 year old player could not find where the pet profile is well this is for you. The pink and blue cat shpe on the name tag. when you click on it it brings up the profile. I say if you like this kind of game you should defntly uy it. I am getting it as soon as i can. Singed the biggest petz fan ever

Review: I love this games. I remember a long time ago when they came out with the first one. This of course is way more fun. I agree with all the other reviews but I need to tell you something that nobody mentioned if you are thinking about getting this game. (by the way I am playing this game while I am typing right now)

GOOD NEWs WARNING: I have a computer with CD-RW and DVD-RW on it and it worked perfectectly. If you are not going to get this game because you have CD-RW or DVD-RW it MIGHT work on your computer anyway. You won't be able to return it once opened. So you will be taking a risk. I just wanted to let you know that there is hope for you still.
Get this game it is perfect for children. This game is like a G version of the Sims except with pets and less complicated. This game is also fun for teens and adults.

Review: I must admit I was a bit disapointed about petz 5, I was annoyed that ubisoft changed it so you play it their way if that makes any sense, you can't do any time forwarding, I can't find petz profile anywhere maybe it is just some place else but I think they took that feauture out so you couldn't tell how old your petz are so you can start breeding... if this were the first version I would give a 5 star all the way but this is the fifth version, there was so much more they could have done with it like password protection, more new breedz (rather than five), and so my rating would have to be 3 or 4 stars.

Review: I recently got Catz 5, it is great!!! The profile comes up when you click on the pink or blue cat/dog icon thing next to your petz name. Most, or all of the old features are included you just have to find them (which may or may not be good :-\) The only bad thing is, is that you need to win most of the toys and you always get toys you already have, I want the Christmas tree and I only have the lights and ornaments!?!? and you barely see weather features, and in the rooms where there are windows and you can see the rain/snow, you go outside and it's sunny...Other than that it still is a good game, and I still give it 5 stars because it overall is a good game!

Summary: Catz 5 Not What We Expected
Review: I recently purchased Catz 5 for my son who is ll. He is a real animal lover and thought it would be right up his alley since he loves Zoo Tycoon. However, we found Catz to be very juvenile for children in this age range. There is not much to do but dress your animals, bathe them, and plant flowers. True you can pet them, play with them, etc., but this is not entertaining for an ll year old. Most of the games, like tic- tac-toe don't work, and the game ends up picking where your X will go. If you want an educational, stimulating game for your child, don't buy Catz, unless your child is under the age of 8. Any child above that age range will be bored within the first half hour.
