Summary: Great game!!
Review: I had some trouble installing the software could not get shortcut to work kept wanting to reinstall. The games are not intuitively obvious so it took some time for an adult to figure out the object of the game to explain it to my 2 year old. Some I still don't get. The graphics are great beautiful colors all the characters are there so my little one loved watching the pictures. Small Children will need an adult to play with them.

Summary: Sweet Fun for Youngsters!
Review: It's important to get kids interested in computers and learning, so why not include "Amazing Cookie Party" in your lesson plan? Children will love the brightly-colored animation and cheerfulness that radiates from this CD-ROM. And Strawberry Shortcake serves as a berry friendly guide to all of the games...
Steer a graham cracker surfboard down the River Fudge, watching out for whirlpools...Make mouth-watering houses in Cakewalk to earn cherries...Collect falling fruit for Orange Blossom in her orchard...When you're done, step into the Amazing Cookie Factory, where you can unload the ingredients you've collected and select a tasty recipe to make. The cookies turn out super cute and look good enough to eat!
I would have given this software 5 stars had it not been for the difficulty I had in installing it. I also feel that the Orange Orchard activity may be a bit frustrating for some 4-6 year-olds (speedwise) and that there could have been one or two more games and recipes included. Other than that, "Amazing Cookie Party" is a ton of fun and worth the price. I highly recommend parents that loved SSC as children to introduce this to their kids. :)

Summary: Too few activities and they are boring
Review: My 4 year old daughter really wants to like the game, since she is a big Strawberry Shortcake fan. However, she can only play the game for about 10 minutes before getting really bored and switching to another game. She usually plays certain preschool or kindergarten educational games for about 30 to 45 minutes, so I know it's not her attention span. Most activites in this game are too repetitive with no variations.
The graphics is cute though, that's probably why my daughter still pops the CD in once in a while.

Review: This is a great game. It took a little while to figure out the object of the game but once I did it's great. It would have been easier if I would have read the instructions first instead of trial and error. My five year old daughter loves the graphics. She plays it all by herself and is already good at it. (we just got it today.) It's a really cute game.I read in another review that it's not such a great game. The woman mentioned she had a 2 year old. Well, the box says for 4 to 6 years old. It's definitely not for a 2 year old. I had no problem installing the game and I just dragged the shortcut onto the desktop. I'm glad I bought it.

Review: Very little educational value in this title. My daughter was bored after about 15 minutes. The whole underlying game is poorly planned and very disjointed. It was slapped together quickly to cash in on the name. The background music was the best part.
For this price, perhaps it will kill a rainy afternoon and get your kid smiling. But don't expect much after that.
I would highly recommend the I Spy series (only two now). They are much more engaging and kids get a sense of accomplishment AND learn in the process.
Oh and if you have a mac, forget it. We couuldn't get past the start menu. We have PCs in the house - it was fine on them. But don't waste your energy if you are mac only.

Review: We bought this cd rom for my daughter who is 3. she enjoyed playing the games, but was bored very quickly. Every level is the same games and you have to play these games over and over again to earn ingrediants. Very repetive and dull.

The kids all figured out how to play right away! We have a box full of software, but I think this one is going to be a favorite.

Summary: Glad to own it!
Review: We've gave this to our 4 year old daughter for Valentine's day and she loves it! She figured out how to play the games right away. The graphics are great and it was berry easy to install on our PC:) We also have Bob the Builder-Bob Builds a Park, Rolie Polie Olie-The Search for Spot and Dora the Explorer-Backpack Adventure on CD-ROM. This was a great educational and fun CD-ROM to add to our collection of computer games. Oh, what fun to be a little girl:)
