Rating: Summary: Great, not very short... Review: The Music was great, and the game was very suspensful... I always thought 'This is where the villian is going to get me' LOL About it being very short... in other ND games, you had 4 or 5 masive rooms to explore... and when you got stuck, you had to comb threw every room a couple of times to see if you missed something... In HC there were 9 differant locations, over 12 differant rooms. Each was very small... So you didn't always have to wonder if you missed something, and explore a huge room... Just a couple of small ones. This break down was extremely helpful. The graphics were amazing, only, like Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, the closed captioning would come on occasionaly when you didn't want it to. The music was great also, very amusment parkish... LOL. This game had a very good plot, and a lot of comic relief, not to much, but enough to make this game fun. I do have to say, the ending where you battle the criminal wasn't very long, so I was a little bit dissapointed, but It was still a great game. :~) I give it five stars.
Rating: Summary: Fun, but too quick Review: My 10-year-old and I played this game after playing all of the previous Nancy Drew games. It has great graphics, an interesting plot, and challenging puzzles. The one drawback was that we finished it WAY too quickly, unlike the last two games. We're looking forward to the next installment and hope that it lasts longer than this one! That said, we would both recommend this game, with the caveat that you should play it in Senior Detective mode to make it last longer.
Rating: Summary: Hard to keep playing Review: In the beginning, it was very easy and fun. You portray Nancy Drew, a teenage detective snowwed in a castle-like resort in Wisconsin. In the middle of the game, when I asked Bess and George for advice, my computer would freeze. My computer would freeze also when I was talking to different charachters. I also am stuck on one part while trying to get passed a door with the elevator blocking it. Otherwise, I liked it.
Rating: Summary: Great quick game, but somewhat disappointing Review: We love the Nancy Drew game series and find it a great way to challenge, empower, and educate young people, but this long awaited installment just didn't reach the level of previous games. We were able to complete gameplay in less than 3 hours, which is disappointing as we were looking forward to this game for some time. Some superb new elements have been added (such as a cell phone, e-mail hints, interesting riddles, and more interactive 'hotel room'), but overall not as educational (as say Scarlet Hand which was one of the best in terms of education)or satisfying as it should have been. Still looking forward to the next installment --- hope it retains some of the better aspects of previous games and loses some of the weaker aspects of this one. Overall, we were disappointed, but hopeful for the next one.
Rating: Summary: Very Exciting But Short Review: This is a realy good game but its short. I finished it in two days! But I liked this game. You won't want to stop playing! You learn alot too. For example I learned alot about electronics. I recomend you to buy this game.
Rating: Summary: Nancy Does It Again! Review: Once again, this is another one of the better Nancy Drew games. This one might be a little bit too easy or maybe just to some of us. It was really hard to guess who the culprit was this time. I didn't hate ANYONE because they were all pretty cool. The new added feature this time is a cell phone! Nancy receives calls while she's out and about and she can make phone calls anywhere she wants! It's not extremely spooky so you don't have to get too scared about it. It's not really scary at all. Just a little. This one was one of my 2 favorite Nancy Drew games! I definitely think you should buy this one. Oh and I saw a review that was labeled "Too Fast". I didn't read the review but I think that this game did go a little too fast. I mean not too fast for you to follow but you finish it too fast. I finished it in 2 days! The first Nancy Drew game I finished took me 7 days! Big difference. Nevertheless, this one was FUN!
Rating: Summary: Freaky but Fun Review: This game was probably one of the scarier Nancy Drew games. The graphics are still amazing and the features are new and improved! In this game, Nancy gets to have a PDA (personal digital assistant) that she takes around with her. It's a phone book and notebook. Nancy jotts down important notes and such in it and this time, you don't have to scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to look at the new stuff she wrote (unlike the previous Nancy Drew game). It's really scary in the beginning and in other sections too. You have to snoop around at night and go to the graveyard! I'd say it is pretty freaky. But it's loads of fun. I only got stuck really bad ONCE during the entire game. That doesn't mean it's super easy but it just means that it's not extremely hard to the point where you can't figure it out yourself. This one was one of the better Nancy Drew games!
Rating: Summary: Great Game! Review: The graphics have gotten even better in this game! It's not really that freaky but there are parts that it is. And once you finish the game, it's fun to replay it and do stupid stuff like kill yourself or get yourself kicked out or something like that. As usual, the features of the game are still impressive and ever improving. As for the challenge of the mystery game? It's a pretty good challenge all right because you're timed! Only 3 days for you to solve the mystery. Well you don't really get timed until the very end, but still. Very pressuring that is. The puzzles are quite...puzzling as well. It's a great game for people of ALL ages and a fun game too! Buy it today!
Rating: Summary: It actually deserves 4 1/2 stars! Review: This was one of my favorite Nancy Drew games (and I only have 2 favorites)! This one wasn't extremely hard but that's kind of good because then it doesn't frustrate you. This one was relatively easy and it was very interesting learning about Marie Antoinette (not sure if I spelled that right). You also get to stay in a castle. All the features of these Nancy Drew games are remarkable. You can talk to characters and explore many different rooms. You have to come up with several ways to get something you want or need. It's very fun and it has great graphics. You should definitely buy THIS game if you're going to buy one at all (which I suggest you do).
Rating: Summary: way too easy Review: I was surprised by how easy the game was. I have played all the other nacny drew games and they were much more of a chalenge. Either that or I'm just getting better at her games.
