Summary: Excellent for 3 year old beginners!
Review: This game is paced exactly right for pre-schoolers. My daughter learned how to manipulate the mouse with this game and still finds all the surprises in the book interesting (time and time again!). If you are looking for a place to start with your child on the computer, "Just Grandma and Me" is an excellent and fun way to do it.

Review: This program is just great. I [used] to run a computer lab in an elementary school and it kept all students from K-3rd grade interested. I purchased it for my boss's 3 year old, and he loves it. It is so entertaining, educational and just so interesting to use. Each time you play it you find more interactive features. Now that I am a Grandmother I have even more special moments with this prgram. I recommend it as a special gift from Grammies to their grandchildren.

Review: This was the first computer game my son ever played and many years and many programs later it is still one of the best. It is simple enough for a 3 year old to play with no assistance, yet engaging enough for older kids to enjoy too. Highly recommended!

Summary: Disappointed
Review: We had purchased the Me & My Mom game for my son a few years ago and he loves it. Lots to do, fun and interesting story, great graphics, and he loves the songs. Me and grandma has none of that. The story is boring, the graphics are much less sophisticated and its just all around inferior to Me and My Mom.I guess the true test is that my son still reaches for Me and My Mom to play with and hasn't touched Me & Grandma after the first week of owning it. Too bad. Makes me leary about purchasing another one.

Summary: Spanish and Japanese options are great!
Review: We own several "Living Books" titles. Just Grandma and Me is a great story with several great options (like Spanish and Japanese reading modes). The beauty of Living Books is the ability for self-directed play and education. From the time they were just 2 years old, my kids both enjoyed many hours playing (and learning) with living books. I highly recommend this title.

Summary: Just Grandma and Me
Review: What a delightful book for my granddaughter! I take her to the library and it is installed on their computers and my grand-daughter, age 2, loved it so much! Her Aunt found it in a book club and ordered it so she now has it at home also and I am hear to buy another cd rom by Mercer! She knows it all by heart. :-) Her favorite is the sticker part, what a great idea since all children love stickers; even at age 2!

Summary: What a wonderful CD!
Review: What a terrific CD. It is everything I would want in a CD ROM story. The book is read (in your choice of languages), and at each page turn, you get the opportunity to click on the landscape and look for 'easter eggs'. There are so many little spots to click that even though we've played this game each day for several months, I'm not sure we've found them all. (Some of them are different every 20 clicks or so.) My daughter (not yet 2) can already run this game completely by herself, and will click endlessly on her favorite spots - the mailbox, which is sometimes a cat meowing and sometimes full of water with a frog - is one of her favorites. The story is pleasant and cute. There is also a little game that lets you build a virtual sandcastle. I'm a computer professional, but I didn't really want to expose my daughter to computers quite so young. Alas - she decided for me that SHE wanted to play on the computer JUST LIKE MOMMY AND DADDY. This terrific CD makes me feel much better about it, and I even enjoy playing it myself.

Summary: One Of The Best Cd-Roms My Kids Have Ever Played.
Review: Yes, this is an older game with outdated graphics & sound.
It is however, one of the best games my children have ever owned. It is easy to install, runs smoothly and is very easy to play; and the gameplay never gets boring for you child. The appropriate ages for this game are from about 3-8 years. Don't let this age range restrict you though, I have found myself playing alongside my kids many times! By the way, you also have to get "Grandpa & Me" if you buy this one. In the days of hard to install, complicated, overstimulating, & overpriced computer games, the "Little Critter" titles are a breath of fresh air. Check out eBay or zShops for some great prices too. I strongly advise getting several of the "Little Critter" cd-roms; you kids will love them.
