Rating: Summary: A wonderful program...if it would actutally work Review: The games are wonderful. My son loved them all and it kept his attention (which is not easy). After he had played it a few times, it began freezing up or the picture would only be partially displayed and he'd get very frustrated. I tried totally rebuilding the computer in the event it was a problem with the computer rather than the game but the same problem happened over and over. He also plays the "JumpStart" games on the same computer and we never have any problems with those games. They are just as good or better than Reader Rabbit.
Rating: Summary: Warning for Windows 95 users Review: The system requirements are misleading for this 2002 version, this software will not install on Windows 95 as listed. Wouldn't it be refresh to tell you that tech support apologized and quickly did the right thing - NOT !
Rating: Summary: Old version Review: The version of Preschool I received is so old it would not run on my Mac under OS 8.6. It is not supported by The Learning Company in any way (telephone or email). I can't tell you about the contents because we were able to get it to launch.
Rating: Summary: Great Pre-Mouse Age Users As Well Review: The virtues of this software have been clearly stated below. But I'd like to add one important point. It is the only Toddler education software that allows the child to play games before they are able to handle a mouse. All of the RR games can be played (at lower sophistication levels) by merely hitting any key on the keyboard. This is important for the under-2 crowd. We used RR as periodic "edutaiment" for our 7-month-old in bursts of 10-15 minutes. She loved the cause-effect interplay between striking the keys and the sounds and colours it ilicits, the animation etc... Surprising that no one else has a product nearly as good in this field. RR is the champ!
Rating: Summary: Great for 2.5 year old new to computers Review: This and Little People airport are my 2.5 year olds favorate games. She can play them herself and they seem to hold her interest much better then other software including Jumpstart preschool. She has about 10 programs and only stays with Little People and Reader Rabbit for any lenght of time.
Rating: Summary: loves it Review: this game was a present for my daughters 2nd birthday at the time she could not do it and it would not hold her interest. but almost 6 months later she loves it and spends at least an hour playing it. somethings are still to advanced for her (like the letter train) but she loves the coloring and the peek a boo zoo. so all in all good purchase.
Rating: Summary: Preschool Best Review: This game was purchased for my 4 year old daughter and now I can't get on the computer! She absolutely loves it. She is so proud of herself. She has yet to ask for assistance, so it is very age appropriate. Very highly recommended!

Rating: Summary: Reader Rabbit Preschool Review: This is a great product. I recently bought this for my kids (twins - 3years and 6 months) and they love it. Not only has ot helped them to develop preschool skills but they learnt how to use the keyboard and mouse. The software is well layed out so the kids could easily navigate through the program. Now I only need to get the porgram started. The kids know how to navigate from there onwards. This is a must buy for all who want to get their kids develop computer skills early whilst learning.
Rating: Summary: A must have for the 2nd Grader! Review: This is an excellent computer learning game. It is fun and easy for kids to use --my son loved it and played with it for hours.
