Summary: Outstanding at all levels
Review: I got this for my 3 year old son with low expectations, but it turned out to be a huge hit! Unlike some other software for kids, Dig N Rigs is a high quality product. The graphics and sound are excellent, the UI is top notch, and the game play is terrific.

Dig N Rigs allows you to drive and control one of 4 different trucks - excavator, bulldozer, crane, and loader - at any of 4 or 5 different construction sites. Each of the activities is a perfect mixture of not being too easy to get bored, nor too hard to be frustrating. There's also a series of smaller games, such as driving a steam roller over a course full of TVs, watermellons, and other goodies.

What's great about this game is that it not only allows the player to "goof up" (intentially or not) without punishment or criticism, but can often makes it more fun! For example, when loading a shipping container onto a boat, my son loves to drop the container into the water and create a huge splash. The game doesn't complain one bit and just rolls out more containers.

Set up is easy - just stick the playset onto the keyboard and pop in the CD. The main character "Tonka Joe" then leads you through a set of exercises to make sure the playset is properly attached.

If your child likes construction, he/she will love Dig N Rig!

Summary: It's a hit!
Review: I gave this game to my 6-year old nephew. The box alone was enough to get him excited. His mother and my brother (20-years old) also love it. Unfortunately I can't play it because it's across the country. My sister said it is a very good game to enhance motor skills.

Summary: Squeals with Delight!
Review: I unknowingly bought this product for my four year old son at Christmas, 2001. He was able to handle all the instruction himself. The drive attachment enables him to do everything and doesn't need to know which is the "k" or "j" on the keyboard to get the tasks done. It teaches him to do one step at a time, therefore, he cannot jump ahead. He can relate to the different scenaries offered and squeals with delight while playing it. Now, his 2 yr old sister also joins in the fun! They both love the big rigs and easily have hours of fun playing.

Summary: A "Must Have" Game
Review: I bought this game for my 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old sons for Christmas. They absolutely love it.
It has several different Tonka trucks for them to drive thru town and stop in many different places. Each Truck has a mission at each stop. The instructions are easy for the children to follow and fun for them to play.
The set does sometimes slip off the keys on my curved keyboard. The kids had to learn to move it gently (Not a necessarily a bad thing).
I also have Windows XP. Several programs that I have purchased do not work on XP. But the Dig N Rig does. The only bad part is that I would like to have my computer w/out arguing with my boys.
A Must Have!!!
