Rating: Summary: Not very challenging Review: This was the first Nancy Drew game that I tried. Compared to most of the other games in this genre this is not a very difficult game. It is probably aimed at children around the age of 10-12. The story is very nice and you do end up learning a lot about Maya culture, putting this game in the edutainment category. The graphics are way below par and the interaction is mostly Myst like. There is not much depth added to the game to make you feel for the character you are playing.Overall it is a good game if you are taking a break from the tougher adventure games, and do not really mind the graphics and clumsy interfaces.
Rating: Summary: Awesome game! Review: The setting of this game is exquisite!! The creators really had a lot of fun with the design of this game - it is just beautiful!! Great mystery and lots of suspense!
Rating: Summary: These games are highly addicting !!! Review: What a wonderful format for gaming! These ND games just keep getting better and better. I find myself craving another one when I complete a game. This one is particularly good because it is a challenge - more than the previous games. You have to use your head or you will never be able to finish it. The theme is also very well done - love the mini-history lesson in this game !!
Rating: Summary: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake Review: My daughter, age 9, says "best game ever". We got to spend great time together solving this mystery. The game was really cool. When my daughter found out who was behind the mystery, she was shocked. Lots of cold winter nights and weekend days spent together. First thing my daughter did after homework was hit the computer. She was sucked in for sure. Five Stars says the expert (the nine-year-old).
Rating: Summary: Ghost Dogs ... Good, Family Fun Review: I worked this by myself, but ended up needing the help of my daughters (12, 10), and we had a GREAT time working on the mystery together ... with a cold winter, nothing like some shivers up your spine with a little mystery solving! It's one of those things, once you start, you can't put it down until you've solved the mystery. Excellent for puzzle-solving and a few shivers as well. Love it!
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Nancy Drew Game of All Times! Review: In this game, Nancy Drew has to find her friend Maya Nguyen who was kidnapped and is kept in an old theater to be knocked down in 3 days. There are several secret passageways, trapdoors, and puzzles all over. I was completely stumped on one of the puzzles. Hints: 1. There are 4 ways to get kicked out of the game, so be careful. 2. Search every room carefully, or you will miss an important clue. 3. Talk to EVERYONE several times. Who knows what they might tell you? 4. Think hard when you do the puzzles- it's easy to get stuck! 5. You will be stunned when you find out who the kidnapper is. 6. At the end of the game, THINK QUICK!
Rating: Summary: Intriguing, yet,Difficult Review: A branzen theif steals a priceless artifact while you, Nancy Drew, are setting up an exhibit of ancient Maya treasures in the very next room. The only clue left behind is a mysterious scarlet handprint. Use your wits to track the theif's sinister blood-red signature through a maze of long-buried secrets in this thrilling 3D interactive mystery. Don't delay-unless,you find the answer soon, you might become just another part of history! Clearly, the game,(like all the others)produced an exciting and intriguing plot. Eerie music surrounds you as you venture through the museum looking for clues and question eyebrow- raising suspects. The game itself is somewhat more challenging than the others in it's series. I have not been able to uncover the person behind all the mayhem. I have Windows XP, and I have never run into a problem with installation, sound/music, or the display. But if you're really in to mysteries and interactive games, then this is the game for you!
Rating: Summary: Great Game! Review: This is a great computer game overall. It is my very favorite out of all I have played. You are trapped inside an inn that has a French secret and you are anxious to find what it is. The culprit is somewhere in the castle, and you have many suspects- they all look quite suspicious to me. From Jaques and Lisa not talking, to fifty chicken drumsticks, to Dexter's strange history- this game is challenging! I recommend it to you. The castle may be long, but once you get used to it, it is a breeze. Basically, at first glance you don't think this game has a problem. But it does. Someone even bonkes you on the head at one point!
Rating: Summary: Very good I highly Reccomend it Review: I really liked this game.I thought that because it was hard, it made the game better to play.Though some parts were hard,it was a very amusing game.Clues lead you to suspect one person, but you think it's another.By far the best plot!!!!I liked how you got to travel to several other spots also. All in all, I think this is probably the best game, so far that is! -Panda
Rating: Summary: Easy to Solve Hard to Play Review: I've played all the Nancy games and have enjoyed them all to varying degrees, but I have to say I didn't much enjoy this game at all. The standard Nancy game variables are all there; interview suspects, hunt for clues, avoid game ending mishaps, and solve the case, but this game did not do a great job with presentation. There were only a couple of marginally difficult puzzles to solve, even on the hard level, and while normally playing the Nancy games, I would have to have a note pad and pen to write down info. located during the game that would be needed to progress, now Nancy has a data computer, and keeps track of all items of importance she encounters herself, virtually eliminating any kind of player sleuthing, this would be fine if you were truly stuck and needed help, but checking the computer may give answers to questions the player hasn't figured out for themselves yet, even if Nancy has. But my biggest gripe was that there were a couple of very annoying bugs with this game, something I've never encountered with any of the other Nancy games, I actually had to download a patch to fix one bug. A couple of times the game locked up on me causing me to have to redo much of it again. And some problem near the end when I kept dying by trying to do the thing I needed to. All in all, I would have to say, if you are a big fan of these games go ahead and give it a try, otherwise, this may be ones of those mysteries, better left unsolved.
