Rating: Summary: Plain Boring! Review: I have to do this at school and it is soooo boring! If you want a good art program, get one of the Disney ones. They are worth your money, not this.
Rating: Summary: Family Fun Review: I just bought Kid Pix Deluxe 3rd Edition. I bought it for my 3 year old son and he loves it. It is simple enough for him to use. We have only had it for 2 days now and he already knows how to change the brushes, colors, etc. This product also keeps his attention. There are amazing sound effects to go with every action. My husband and I have fun with the more advanced features, paper texture, adding sounds and personal pictures, etc. The best part of the product is the e-mail component. It let's you send your creations to friends and family. This product is a great entertainment for the whole family, from the littlest to the oldest. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Awesome and FUN Review: I just bought this software for my three year old grandson, and he LOVES it!!! Obviously, he cannot use all of the creative capabilities of this program. But, he has already figured out how to change brushes, pencils, spray cans, etc., how to change colors, and how to use various fill options. And, the options are seemingly limitless. We all love the undo feature. The sound effects are a riot and the creators of this program obviously had tons of fun writing it. My hat's off to them, and if you're looking for child software, this is the way to go.
Rating: Summary: Fun, fun, fun Review: I like Kid Pix because it's really easy to save pictures, and you can have a background to your picture (but Kid Pix version 1 does not). It is cool.Mom: hours of entertainment for kids between 3 and 10 yrs. Pretty easy to use UI. Lots of fun stuff. Note that it does sometimes do funky things to our computer and cause it to reboot though.
Rating: Summary: Why I love Kid Pix Review: I love Kid Pix even though I'm 14 and a half years old! HAHA Anyways....I used to have the old Kid Pix and the deluxe 3rd one is way better! It's just wicked fun making pics and the backrounds are cool and stuff. After I was helping my 6 year old cousin with it on Christmas, I was in love with it! HAHA That's my review. KID PIX RULES!!!!!! (Even if you're almost 15)
Rating: Summary: Kid Pix is back and better then ever! Review: I love this version because, unlike the other versions, the drawing tools are easy, fast, and fun. You can also change the size of the picture with a snap! Want to have 2 pictures in 1? Just click on the Add Image button and click on the pictures, it's that simple! Here is a list of cool things in this. 1) Very 3D: Unlike most image making programs you can make 3D Objects! If you wan't some examples you can look thru the tools. 2) Life like colors: The colors in this are very life like, if you want to prove it then load a photo then use the Color Sucer to swich to that color and draw with it! 3) Imagination boost: Have a kid who just can't imagine things? This program will help! If you want to give the kid a start click on the Idea Machine and have a list of ideas, then double click on that idea and the main frame will come up, then just draw in it! Thats not all! You can explore much much more! Note: People are saying that the help guid is hidden and there is nothing telling you were it is, they are lieing, if you look in the Read Me then it will show you were it is.
Rating: Summary: A Student-Teacher's Dream Review: I must say, I have not yet purchased this software for my son, but I plan on doing so soon. I was introduced to Kid Pix in one of my EDU classes along with several other students that I student teach with. We all love it!! It is so great to have around. I'm not even talking about the children using it, but we use it all the time to make props and other materials for our classrooms. It always has something to go along with our themes, whether it be sizes, colors, animals, letters, numbers, transportation, or anything. Can't wait to purchase it for my son. I just know he'll love it!
Rating: Summary: Windows XP Compatibility -- Not Review: I purchased this product after checking the Broderbund website to verify compatibility to Windows XP. Broderbund fails to mention the numerous problems you may encounter if you run this on Windows XP; and the trial and error installation method needed to get it to run properly. Broderbund's concept of XP compatibility is not what you will expect.
Rating: Summary: Good game, good graphics Review: I reccomend this game for everyone who has a fizzy or sparling imagination. It has beautiful backrounds, cool graphics and good images. It also has a little kid mode, so it is good for everybody. Buy this game NOW! Don't wait! NOW!
Rating: Summary: XP Compatibility Review: I see that several people have had trouble running this with XP, but I had no trouble installing it or using it. My great-niece, who is almost 8 and my great-nephews, soon to be 10, all enjoy using it. As a matter of fact, so do I. It's a lot of fun and encourages their creativity. I don't know why others may have had problems with it, but it works great for us.
