Summary: JEWELS, JEWELS, JEWELS
Review: Danielle Steel is so good at what she does and this book is no exception. She writes about a very passionate married couple who goes through many trials and tribulations only to be faced with shortcomings of one of their childern. That said, this book tells about how the wife literally wills her near death war inflicked husband back to life. She also, after his revival, births three more children to add to the first child (son) they had together and moves on to developing a career for herself and the family. Ergo, the title, Jewels, is about how she created an empire of jewelry that brought her fame and fortune. After a successful store of Jewelry in Paris, she moves on to open a store in New York and a couple other places. Before turning her business over to the grown children, she loses her husband (a veteran) to the military contracted illness. Nevertheless, this heroine pulls off a successful life for herself even after his death. If you love a love story, you absolutely must read this book.

Summary: BEST EVER
Review: I am a big DS fan, and this is my fav. of all time. I love the way the story spans the life of the main character, Sarah. So often in books it seems we are left hanging and wondering but what happens next? I recommend this book to everyone!

Summary: Enchanting!
Review: I found this book to be wonderfully enchanting. It was so well written that I was able to bring myself into the story as if I were Sarah. Most books I've read don't have the strength to pull my imagination like this one. The way Danielle blends true history with fiction is so fascinating and interesting it also peeks my curiosity to learn more about history itself. I found the entire book to be mesmerizing. Anyone who finds this book boring doesn't have the intelligence or keen perception of real life to keep up with the twists and changes toward the end. It's Masterful reading!

Summary: The Best Danielle Steel Book
Review: I read this book and absolutely loved it! It has a great plot and setting, too. This one and The Ring are my favorites. I suggest you read it because you won't be let down!

Summary: Bittersweet
Review: This book took me away to another country, and era, that I never bothered with before. Sarah goes through some VERY difficult, depressing times, (even worse than some of MY life)!, I put it down several times, too sad. If you can get past the first 270 pages, the book finally gets happy. I was VERY pleased to see that the female lead in this book, SARAH, is a strong courageous woman, with INCREDIBLE faith. I like the fact that it takes you through most of her entire life, when her children grew up, I was amused at their uniqueness, yet "true to life" sameness, of their generation. You get to know everyone so well, it's as if you are a part of their lives, and you don't want the book to end. I enjoyed the last 1/3 of it VERY much, it was worth waiting for.
