Summary: SHOCKER
Review: This book was so interesting from the beginning and sad from the start. It has a terrific story line and slyly plotted. While your reading this you'll feel sadness along with happiness. Definitely a novel with a lot of mixed emotions and an excellent must buy must read !!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: I liked the plot, hated the ending... it needs closure!
Review: This is my first Fern Michaels book, and I did enjoy it... really. As a matter of fact, I found it hard to put down. Which is probably why I was so disappointed with the ending. I can only hope that Ms. Michaels wrote it with a sequel in mind. I found some of the plot a tad bit implausible, but this is fiction...right? I did enjoy the friendship between Jessie and Sophie... that is so rare in romantic novels. I was a little creeped out by some of the parental behavior...on both the natural and unnatural parents' parts. The dialogue was stilted and trite in certain places, but Ms. Michaels more than made up for it in others. All in all, I would recommend the book... just read it knowing that it might leave you feeling like the printer accidentally left out the last two or three chapters of your copy.

Summary: Wonderful character depth
Review: This was one of Fern Michaels finest. The characters were in-depth and unforgettable. The complex emotions involving the loss of a child at the age were handled in a sensitive manner.

Normally books regarding poor little rich girls do not interest me. Although you had to feel for the plight of Jessie. Such a wonderful young woman who needed a normal family life to make her life complete. In spite of her "adopted families" problems she rose above that and made a life of her own. I had to cheer when she left home.

At Sophies' graduation you had to feel compassion for the empty chair. Another young women who tried to make a life for herself without the benefit of love.

I cried when she died, I cried when I read all the letters she left behind. I will always remember the bubble gum trick with a smile.

In regards to the ending, it couldn't have ended any other way. The fact that she went off to build a bridge and put her romantic life on hold w! ! as a perfect ending to a perfect book. We can only hope that she will one day find her soul mate and they can raise her son together. The book left me wondering though who it might be. It could be Luke, but then again, Tanner did a lot of growing up towards the end. Hmmm.....maybe Ms. Michaels will continue this with a sequel letting us know who she chose.

In one word this book was "Unforgettable"
