Summary: Here we go again...
Review: By now we're all familiar with the "V.C Andrews recipe": take one plucky teenage heroine with a troubled past, place in spooky location, remove parents, stir in sadistic guardian(s), add a mysterious friend/mentor and a mysterious enemy and sprinkle liberally with danger, including at least one life-threatening situation. "Midnight Flight" does absolutely nothing to deviate from this basic potboiler outline. Granted, we have three heroines instead of the usual one, and the location is a sort of juvenile detention home; but then again, this is the same ground we traversed with the "Orphans" miniseries. This time around we get a psychotic "school director" and her army of vicious "M'Ladies" who imprison our brave heroine and her friends on a farm in the desert, torturing them with diapers, physical and emotional abuse (how does Dr. Foreman get away with it? Doesn't Child Protective Services EVER drop by?), and the terrifying "Ice Room" which turns out to be nothing more than a basement with a virtual-reality helmet (?!?). It would be nice to see something really original under the V.C. Andrews name for once, but this isn't it. If you're going to read "Midnight Flight", be prepared to check your logic at the gate; this one requires a major suspension of disbelief.

Summary: No flowers in the attic but..
Review: First of all, I do believe that the ghost writer should stop using V.C. Andrews's name. Everyone knows who he is anyways. He should just dedicate these books "to the memory of V.C. andrews" in big letters. Apparently, he's already lost the interest of a majority of readers anyway, if the dwindling reviews on this sight is any indication.
Other than that, though. This book is solid and one of the best of the multi-sight, the four girls get together in the end against-the-evil-adults genre, that he has been throwing out at us.
They actually react realistically and don't lose their personalities completely once they pair up. They also, don't, like in the Orphans series become extremely exaggerated.
Teal was a brat, right? She stays a brat through the entire book. The girls spent most of the book fighting and that was also refreshing because they didn't suddenly become kindred spirits.
The book begins with Phoebe being flown to the correction facility and issued with her own sack-cloth dress and diapers. It keeps your attention mostly just to see what he will come up with next. The villian is also one of the best and most ruthless villians that he's come up with in awhile.

Summary: Andrew Neiderman deserves more credit...
Review: First of all, I would like to say how ashamed I am in you VCA fans. How can you call this book crap? Or as the one girl so maturely said, "Ewwww."? Please sweety, go back to Dr. Suess. So what if it wasn't believable to you? I, myself, had no trouble believing any of it. First of all, it's a FICTIONAL book, second of all, open your eyes. Stuff like that does happen in this world, even today. You'd be surprised princess, because you're safe and snug behind your computer screen. The story had a great plot, and just when you think you even remotely understand what's going on, there's a twist and you're back to wondering what's going to happen. I believe it keeps you on your toes, and the ending explains everything perfectly and ties the book together. It sort of reminded me of Holes minus the comedy. Any work of literature should be respected enough to not be labled as "crap." I'm sure if you tried to write something that even came close to the quality and talent of Andrew Neiderman and/or Virginia Andrews, you'd fail miserably. I sincerely didn't mean to make this into a debate, but it's turned out that way. However, if you are a VCA fan, READ THIS BOOK.

Summary: Exceptional Book
Review: I am a big fan of V.C. Andrews books,,,this book had me in suspense through out the whole book. I couldn't put it down. Teal is a spoiled brat and acted like a spoiled brat throughout the whole time..I did not think she was gonna change at all..And the whole ice room...I did not expect it to be what it was..I totally thought it was this horrible place. Dr.Foreman is nuts...she is really the crazy ones,,and her buddies are not cured,,,they are sadistic and worship the ground she walks on. At the end of the book I do understand why Natani stayed thier,,,,he really cared about those girls and helped as much as he could without really looking as if he helped. I really recommend this book. I did not want to put it down...I couldn't wait to read what happened next. Now I just have to wait for the next book to come out!

Summary: My oh my...
Review: I can sum this book up in one word: Ewwww. It read like some sort of demented, (...) fantasy. I don't know about the rest of you but this sort of twisted tale doesn't appeal to me now and wouldn't have appealed to me as a teen and I read and enjoyed some weird things. I read most of the early VC Andrews novels and enjoyed them through and through even when they started to become repetive but, sadly, I couldn't bring myself to finish this one. The story is thoroughly unappealing on all levels. Where shall I begin? The child-like writing? The unlikable and unrealistic teens? The forced diaper wearing? The information dumps that defy all logic? Need I continue? I think not . .

Summary: Oh. My. Goodness.
Review: I couldn't even get past 4 chapters of this book. It was absolutely disgusting what the people in that "school" did to those girls.

It seemed like the ghostwriter had a (...) fantasy that he wanted to put on paper, so he did it to Teal, Phoebe and Robin.

I'd skip this one if you liked the ghostwriter's other work.

Summary: Terrific Story!!!
Review: I have read every single one of V.C. Andrews books. And I have to say I was impressed with this series. Usually there is a typical pattern to the stories, and if you have read some of the series you can pretty much figure out what was going to happen. But this series had me continue guessing! I read this entire book in one night! I just could not put the book down. this book is told by "Phoebe". I have to say when I read the last page of the book I just did not want it to end. This is truelly a good read!!!!

Summary: Better than I Expected
Review: I have to admit I really had trouble putting this book down. After the Landry series the ghostwriter's books have pretty much gone down hill. Just because the V.C Andrews name was on the book I guess the ghostwriter took it for granted that all her fans will continue to buy her books so he slacked off a little on his writing. I usually hate the books that have all the main characters from the other smaller books meeting up in one large book. It managed to hold my intrest so this book was a lot better than the ghostwriter's previous attempts.

Summary: It Was Pretty Good....
Review: I liked the book alot. I read it in a day and a half. But if I was a character in the book Mrs. Foreman and the M'Ladies would get their asses kicked!
