Summary: Explosive
Review: I could not put this book down. The characters were so real, it was like listening in on a personal conversation. I believe this is the new wave for Christian fiction. It touched home and made me want to get another book by VC Murray as quickly as I could. This is the true-meaning of page-turner. It will make a difference in so many lives. It's the real-deal.

Summary: A Must Read
Review: I had heard a lot about this book before I actually read it. It was everything that I heard plus more. This book grabs you from page 1 and carries you to the end. I was most impressed with the scriptures that are interwovened throughout the book. The book was definitely written by someone who knows the bible. The storyline is timely when marriages are being tested all the time. I can't wait for the next book by Ms. Murray. God Bless You!

Summary: Walk By Faith
Review: Non-Christians seem to have one of two views of Christians. They believe they are hypocrites that shout on Sunday and sin the rest of the week or they are holy with no problems or issues. The truth is Christians walk by faith not by sight because if we knew anything about what God had in store for us we would go screeming in the opposite direction.

Ms Murray shows us what a real Christian home is like. Through the story of Kyla and Jefferson, we learn about celebrating God in good and bad times. This is a great book that shows loving and serving God does not mean things are always great but that we are never alone. Thank you Ms. Murray for your honesty about the pain betrayal causes and the healing God's love provides.

Summary: Keepin It REAL!
Review: I could write a BOOK about this novel and its author but I'll contain myself. Victoria Christopher Murrary pens a contemporary story about REAL life and REAL people. The beauty of it is how God remains faithful throughout the twists and turns the characters face through out the story line. Temptation is REAL, and the most seasoned individual can and will experience it. Page after page, Ms. Murray reveals the true test and measure of practicing one of the most basic principles - forgiveness. I don't dare give the plot away, but believe me, this reader had moments, when I wanted to harm, hurt and kill a couple of the characters and forgiveness was NOT a consideration at all! Although not an overnight process, we learn in this beautfiully written novel, that ALL things are possible... If you Njoy tales about relationships, and matters of the heart, whether they are about family, marriage, dating and/or friendship, Victoria Christopher Murray's, Temptation, is for YOU! Trust me, once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down!

Summary: Telling it like it really is.
Review: When I first started temptation and realized where it was headed, I almost put the book down because I thought it would be just another book claiming that forgiveness and trust are easily restored after such a horrible experience. But after I endured for a while. I realized that the Sister was really telling it like it is. I know of a few people who have been through similar experiences. Sometimes trust is so totally destroyed that the relationship doesn't survive. As for the couple involved, I think both of them were either a little naive or a lot over confident. Kyla was naive to think that she could allow jasmine to hang around her husband like a hungry animal exposed to a steak dinner. My Mother always taught me that if you are a couple you should be with other couples. What can I say about Jefferson? In real life I would say 'Brother Man' was entertaining the idea all the time and Jasmine just 'pulled him on across the fence' What he should have done was expose Jasmine as soon as it was obvious that she was after him. And we all know it was obvious or either the author failed to mention that Kyla was married to a blind man. I also think there is an opening for 'Temptation 2'. Will Kyla continue to experience the roller coaster emotions in the aftermath of such an incident? Will Jefferson, once again, be 'lead to the slaughter' by satans tricks? Will Jasmine get saved and married? If so,will 'what goes around come around' on her? (another one from my Mother) Jalna PWP Book Club

Summary: ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!
Review: I'm still breathless! Where do I start? Ok, let's see. The title has a whole lot to do with the "gut" of the story. But backing up a moment......from THE very first page of this enriched novel, you will be introduced to characters that will jump off the pages at you. As you continue to read, very quickly you will find yourself saying, "uh oh". Your heart will begin a race with your fingertips to turn to page after page after page. You will quickly become consumed with characters lives, love, friendships and much, much more.

TEMPTATION will test your own weaknesses, strengths, beliefs and moral values and will have you talking to your best friend(s) about what choices would they make and what advice would they take if faced with TEMPTATION.

TEMPTATION will make you laugh a little, pout a little but ultimately, it will test your true faith and belief in the Word.

Victoria Christopher Murray has done an extraordinary job at creating a story about love based upon the Word of God with such strength and passion, it has you re-evaluating many aspects of your own lives. But she doesn't stop there. She mixes in friendships and real life matters that has you wondering how will this all work out. But don't fret.......this author brings you around "full circle" from point A to point Z.

While TEMPTATION's foundation is based upon a Christian marriage, my oh my, Ms. Murray throws in that "somethin, somethin" that makes this a very believable story and a MUST READ for any and every one.

Summary: Fantastic To Say The Least
Review: Temptation was great and I do mean that as I read an awful lot of books. The characters were believable and real especially in the day and age when our world is so unreal. The emotions and experiences were real life situations that are hard to portray in a novel. Kyla proved to be a true woman of God. I highly recommend this book. You will love it.

Summary: Truly Enjoyable
Review: Its the long awaited re write and its excellent. You could not have asked for a better story Christian or Mainstream. Ms Murray gives us the story of Kyla and Jefferson, a couple truly blessed of the Lord. But you know the devil gets busy and tries to destroy whatever he can. From page 1, this novel takes the reader on a journey about love, friendship. deceit, trust, envy, hate and forgiveness. Our bookclub read this novel and with the "neck roll", we dissed some of the characters and shed tears with the others. This is a must read. You will not want to put this one down. One thing I would love to see is Brian and Alex story (hint hint) in the sequel.

Summary: An Uplifting tale
Review: Kyla and Jefferson Blake share some of the best aspects of the American life as few people do. The African-American couple believe God has blessed them, as they love one another, their beautiful daughter, and their devoted friends.

On the other hand, Kyla's friend Jasmine has divorced Kenneth Larson, a former UCLA football player she finally kicked him out of her home and life. Jasmine is unhappy and feels God is not answering her prayers. She decides that she made a mistake chasing after a headliner like Kenny instead of a steady doctor like Jefferson. Now she is as determined as she was in college when she chased after Kenny, but her target is Jefferson.

A second friend of Kyla's, Alexis Ward meets the love of her life in Jefferson's associate Dr. Brian Lewis. However, to have Brian means surrendering the core values that Alex has lived her life by, leaving her to wonder if love is worth all that?

Betrayal and adultery are in the air. Will faith in God help these individuals, especially the Blakes whose perfect marriage is on the brink, find the right way?

TEMPTATION is an exciting inspirational relationship drama that works because the prime cast all seem genuine. The problems (loyalty vs. betrayal) they face could happen to anyone, not just Christians. Though not for everyone, Victoria Christopher Murray cleverly weaves scripture throughout the plot, but deftly does it so that the message fits the character and the setting. Any reader who enjoys an entertaining inspirational romance that has a deep Christian core will gain much pleasure and enlightenment from Ms. Murray's well written novel that pays homage to the Lord.

Summary: An Enriching Romance
Review: Kyla and Jefferson Blake's 16-year marriage is put to the test in this spectacular novel. Their marriage is full of love, stability, and most importantly God. Their faith in God and their marriage is insurmountable. But even Christians encounter temptation...Where will Kyla & Jefferson place God in their lives when temptation strikes?

The situations and characters in this novel are both heart wrenching and heart warming. Temptation is an intoxicating story of awareness, faith, friendship, vows, and love. Ms. Murray deposits us into a perilous situation leaving our mouths hanging open in disbelief, and our hands wringing in anticipation. You'll stay up all night with Kyla and Jefferson praying with them that God delivers them from the pain and storms that thunder in their lives.

Victoria's masterful storytelling maintains your interest and evokes your emotions, while enlightening where you place your faith.
