Summary: Married People Please Read
Review: This book is my favorite reading for 2002. I got alot out of it. The married christian walk isn't EASY!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: All Praises Be to The Lord Our God!
Review: I was a little skeptical about reading this book at first. This was my first Christian romance novel, and I thought it was going to be corny. Boy was I wrong! "Temptation" is about the marriage of Kayla and Jefferson. This couple is a classic example of a strong successful Christian couple. Everything isn't perfect (Kayla wants to go back to work and Jefferson doesn't want his wife to work), but they have a successful marriage. That is until Kayla's best friend Jasmine decides that the only man for her is Jefferson. This is the ultimate test of Kayla and Jefferson's marriage. Can their marriage withstand Jasmine's devious plot to destroy their union? The secondary story deals with the dating relationship between Kayla's other best friend Alexis and Brian. Brian appears to be the man of every woman's dreams. He's a rich successfull doctor. Brian says he's a Christian but he's not as far along in his walk with Christ as Alexis is. This presents a problem in their relationship when it comes to physical intimacy.

The main theme in this book is forgiviness. We all fall short of the glory of God, and when we repent God forgives us. But we as humans aren't so quick to forgive each other. Ms. Murray does an excellent job describing Kayla's struggle with forgivness. Kayla is rooted very deep in her Faith, but she has a hard time granting forgiviness because she hurts so much.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially those who have never read a Christian theme romance novel. I liked the way Ms. Murray intergrated Bible Scriptures into the story. I found myself opening my Bible and highligthting the Scriptures mentioned.

Summary: God is good and this book is an example of just that!!
Review: Excellent example in how pray and faith in God can move mountains, but this story also shows how even the soul is willing the flesh is weak. All the characters had some type of demon to deal with and they all come to learn or already knew how faith in God can change many things within themselves and their lives, but also learn that they are still human and that no one is untouchable with it comes to Satan's work. I can say this about the book, it pulled me in right from the start and didn't let go until the end! Great Book!!

Summary: A captivating and engrossing read
Review: This book grabbed me from the first page. I finished it in a day and was upset with myself. No matter how hard you will try to pace yourself, the characters will just wrap you up and take you with them. The unashamedly Christian storyline works well with the romance and friendship angles. I began to care about these people and saw them as friends. The story proves that you can never really know anyone unless they want you to know them.

Summary: Spiritual, African-American, Romance - - - all in One!
Review: It's so hard to find a "real" Christian novel dealing with true love (not lust), by and about African-American people, but Victoria Christopher Murray has delivered the book that I've been searching for. Temptation deals with being a Christian without being preachy. Murray writes of trials and tribulation that were overcome only with God. There is a lot of inspirational commentary buried in the story. Very realistic and very refeshing to read. This is one of the best novels I've read! A WONDERFUL read! Thanks Victoria.

Summary: Strong Truths
Review: This book brings out strong (realistic) truths and captivates the reader to the very end.

I thank you Victory for writing from your heart as God inspired you. Also, thanks for putting the first chapter for your next book in the back. I couldn't wait for the paperback of "Joy" to come out, so I bought the hardcover. WOW! what a book.

Summary: Wonderfully written but
Review: Although this book was awesome, I must say I was a little disappointed with the beginning--such a wordly birthday party. In addition, I believe the book could minister to others in different ways, such as Kyla having a discussion with Jasmine. Pastor Ford should have mentioned Kyla and Jasmine's relationship in their counseling. While Jefferson's adulterous relationship with Jasmine was not Kyla's fault, I think Pastor Ford should have made Kyla face the role she played in this as well. Jasmine was not discreet in her actions. Again, not to take anything from the novel, I truly enjoyed it and look forward to reading other books by Mrs. Murray.

Summary: That is what I am talking about
Review: This book was excellent I give it 5 stars and some. It really touched me, and to see how God works things out. It shows you how with God anything is possible, and that what God has put together can't no man/woman tear apart. When things have a firm foundation on the Lord, you can make it through anything.

Summary: Absolutely Intriguing and Inspiring!
Review: I could not put this book down...in fact, after my first read of this capturing novel, I picked it up 6 months later and read it again!

Summary: New Life
Review: Being a Chrisitian this book is on point. Well written. Spirited. I connected because I went through something similiar and the same way Kayla went through, so did I. This is real ministry! It ministered to my soul, completely. Healing is so special when it's in the love of Christ. Thanks for putting my thoughts and actions during betrayal to action. It was well proceived.
