Summary: Beautifully Written
Review: When I first read this book I wasn't sure what to expect. I had already read the The Atonement Child by Francine, but this story was set in such a different background that I was skeptical at first. I was pleasantly surprised. This book really opened up the true love we have for Christ when we first realize what He has done for us. The fact that it was told from the POV of so many characters who had been hurt themselves helped to emphasize that God is in the healing business(spiritual and physical.) I really enjoyed the love expressed for Christ in this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good Christian Fiction book. Although the characters may not be real, the story that they tell is older than time. Enjoy!

Summary: Profoundly Powerful
Review: This was the first Francine Rivers novel that I have read and I loved it! While I agree with some of the other reviews that parts of it were unrealistic (like a 10 year old quoting word for word Scripture from the Bible that she has never read), I think it was still a very effective story.

I was thrilled with the suspense in the story and the surprise twists along the way. I was deeply touched by Cadi's longing to have her sin removed and her determination to find the Sin Eater. The imaginary friend Lilybet was a nice touch, though I didn't figure out she was imaginary for a few pages!

Just a marvelous piece of work with a message that will stand the test of time: Jesus Christ is the only way to God and the only one who has the power to remove sins.

Profound.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!
Review: Francine Rivers did it again. Wonderful novel. Would be a great tool to use to win others to Christ. It starts out as a novel about the old ways of hill people and ends up telling the wonderful story of salvation.

Summary: Wow!!
Review: After reading a trilogy by the same author, The Mark of the Lion Triology, I was hooked. I picked The Last Sin Eater up at a local library and was truly touched. I related so well to the main characters- all of them, and I caught myself gasping and crying throughout the entire story. It was excellent for me, a 16 year old girl, so I reccomend it to ANYONE!!!

Summary: The Last Sin Eater
Review: Wow! This story gripped me. What a concept! I learned so much from this book. Francine Rivers has once again made me feel as though I knew the main character personally. I related to her so much. I could feel her emotions and was brought to tears at the same times throughout the story, that she was. I recommend this story to anyone who needs to capture the reality of God's grace, forgiveness and redeeming love. You'll need to take a big deep breath at the end of the story and close your eyes and thank God for bringing this book into your life.

Summary: Simple but Profound
Review: This book is amazing! It is such a simple story but the message it gives has such deep and significant meaning. It is a story of redemption, restoration and forgiveness. It has the Gospel laid out in a number of different ways and it is presented in a unique and fasinating way. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: MY NEW TEENAGE VIEW OF THE LAST SIN EATER
Review: The book titled The Last Sin Eater, was one of the first books I have ever completely read. Once I finished I had wished it was not over. The setting was in the 1500`s, when the government had not taken over the New World yet. It talkes about a girl who thought she had lost her mothers love by the death of her sister and then lost the only one left who loved her, so she thought, her grandmother. She explores her limits and risks her life to get her burdens taken away from her. Once she finds what she has been looking for its nothing like she expects, and it turns what was HATE into LOVE.

Summary: wonderful story
Review: This book was a lovely and wonderful story. I have recommended it since to many people who have also enjoyed it. I personally have a hard time with most Christian literature, but this story really grabbed my heart and I give it a high recommendation. There is intrigue as well as an amazing story of grace and redemption.

Summary: Francine's Best
Review: I've read many of Francine's books. The Last Sin Eater is my favorite. Francine did a remarkable job of creating this story in a way that all readers can connect. It's believable. I loved the characters! They will stay with me for many years. She did a great job of illustrating mankinds confused perceptions about God and His grace. And she illustrated His gift of salvation--a gift we simply need to accept to own. Thanks for another great work, Francine.
