Summary: Totally lacking any substance
Review: After reading the first three books in this series i felt it was only right to embark on the final installment. Boy...what a disappointment! I struggled endlessly to finish it. It totally lacked substance and had no backbone..nor did its characters, especially Summer. Talk about a spoiled child!!!! And the part with Suze and Ed was just enough to make me want to stop and not finsh the book. I surely hope I'll find what I'm looking for in the "Willow" series. There is something to be said about ghostwriters...and Ms. Andrews' ghostwriter needs to wake up and smell the coffee!

Summary: well.......
Review: At first, I thought this would be a good book. But I found all the books in this series, except for Rain, to be boring and bad. This was the first time I didn't finish reading a VCA book. I didn't like Harley or Summer at all. Summer had more guts than some other daughters, but she was still wimpy. And Harley, on the cover, wasn't anything to look at. What girl, in this day of age, find Kevin Bacon to have sex appeal? If they described Harley as looking like Justin Timberlake or Aaron Carter, I could see why Summer would fall in love with him, because teen girls love these guys. I wish that the GW would write more phenomenal books, like the old VCA did. Also, the Wildflowers series wasn't that great, although the Orphans was decent. But where are the old secrets and magic? Like what Flowers in the attic and Heaven had? I hope that better books come out. And why aren't there any male narrators or girl narrators who are Asian, Jewish, homely, or fat? I think that there should be a chubby narrator for once. Or one of a different culture or religion.

Summary: A Cure For Insomnia
Review: God what a horrible book! The ghostwriter should just stop now and quit disgracing the name of a very talented writer. If the name V.C. Andrews wasn't plastered across the front I guarentee you no one would give a second glance to these terrible books. Where are the secrets? The shocks and surprises? Couldn't ghostwriter have thrown a few jaw-droppers into the diary scene? I won't be buying anymore of these books. It's a waste of my money.

Summary: A great read
Review: I am a huge VCAndrews/Andrew Neiderman fan so of course I had to pick this book up and read it. I really enjoyed it even though it was typical VCA stuff.

Summary: Good but not like old VCA
Review: I did enjoy this book. It was very interesting and most defenitely a page turned. It was predictable again, but hey thats VCA books. The part about making fun of Vodoun didnt go over big with me though, but thats the media. Summer was a very couragious and smart herione. This book isnt as good as what VCA actually wrote not her GW.

Summary: An all new low
Review: I didn't think it could happpen but V.C. Andrews ghost writer managed to write a book worse than any other. End of the rainbow was soooooo bad. The Summer on the cover looked nothing like the Summer that was described in the book. And what's with guys being named after the car they drive? Corbette who drove a corvette and now Harely who dives a motorcycle? And he looked like Kevin Bacon ? How many sixteen years girls are still fawing over Keivn Bacon ? The big point of the story was Harely meeting his dad which was a complete waste of time. Did he write this book in his sleep ? Summer was such a wimp. She was vapid stupid and shallow. Did she actually believe that nothing bad could ever happen in her life? And what sixteen year old still goes around calling there parents Mommy and Daddy ? Grow up already. I'll not be buying another V.C. Andrews novel. I can't stomach another mini series. Hasn't V.C. Andrews name been dragged through the mud enough? Please lisetn to your real fans pocket book and don't publish another book.

Summary: No Pot Of Gold At The End Of This Rainbow!
Review: I endured rain, lightning and one nasty storm and then, when I got to the end of the rainbow, there was no pot of gold waiting there for me. What a waste! Why did I even read this series? Nothing, so far, can even compare to the Dollangangers and Audrina. Even the Casteel series wasn't that hot. I will be reading about the DeBeers, though. That looks interesting enough. As for Summer and Rain, what weak characters! I didn't like Austin, either. And Harley, who drove a motorcycle (hehe). What was up with him? This book is a good example of what I mean when I say that I can't stand stories that involve one bad thing after another happening to the same person, none of which are connected at all, except for the fact that they all seemed aimed at the recipient. Are the gods angry at Summer? I guess so. At least in V.C. Andrews's real stories, there was some reason why everything was happening.
As for Harley and Summer, Mr. Ghost Writer finally proved that he cannot pull off a book that doesn't involve the main character sleeping with a "relative". It seems he went out of his way to make Harley and Summer related. Her stepuncle's ex-stepson? How about her stepmother's stepbrother's sister's daughter's son? Come on, grow up! Think of some new ideas.

Summary: The End of The Rainbow
Review: I enjoy VCA and look foreward to new releases, This book was okay. I felt let down when I finished this book. It did not seem to have the drama that most of VCA has. I think it is time to find a new ghost to write, Someone whom can deliver in a true VC Andrews way...........

Summary: summers rainbows..
Review: I had never read VC Andrews, or Virginia Andrews before, and I really enjoyed this book.
Actually I wasn't well and I kept my head stuck in this book for hours and it was like a pain-reliever!

The novel is about a girl named Summer who has had a rich and pampered life.
Shortly after her 16th birthday, however, she is raped.
Wanting to escape the bad memories, she readily agrees to follow her best male friend Harley out of town, as he searches for his birth father.
But, Harley's 'father' is evil, and lives with a crazy old witch!
Summer and Harley are locked in an attic and poisoned!
Will they get out????!!

Crazy story, heh?But I enjoyed it(like I said).
I have taken-out 3 more Andrews books, but it bothers me to hear they are all basically the same story ( ?? )
I have started reading Gates of Paradise and it certainly seems familiar!!! I hope it and the others will be fun, and not monotnous, to read.

Again, I really liked Summer's story.

Summary: Good
Review: I just wanted to say that this book was good. If you like the type of book that whirls you with its emotions, then go for it. The main character is very sweet and you see the lesson she gets through life. Its emotional, and has a happy ending.
