Rating: Summary: The greatest sorrow indeed. Review: It is an elegant book. It gives you the feeling of a funeral sometimes, or perhaps the feeling of a constant calculated but unintentional decay. It is about philosophers as well as normal people who try to understand why we are covered in sorrow. Hope, love, sensitivity, reality one by one are giving in.... but yet this book does not flirt with pessimism at all. It flirts with science and sense and sadness.. mostly You certainly need an amount of courage to finnish it. Sometimes stoical, sometimes brilliant some times hypersensitive.. obsessions and sorrow mixing blood. It is an elegant book, with amazing language and beautifully so beautifully narrated like a beautifull nightmare. I read it while i was an exchange student in Rovaniemi Finland in late september. It was a part of the season, like the leaves that were falling sometimes bright and from time to time motionless blurred monochromatic. It is a book meant to be read from people willing to sympathise with its thoughts and certainly it isnt jolly reading. It is like blood running on black market (as placebo once sang) providing a bad place with a gloriousness and a rare elegance.
