Rating: Summary: Clearly one of Ms. Macomber earlier work Review: After reading the "Promise" series, I bacame a fan of Debbie Macomber. When I saw that the "Navy" series was out, I bought "Navy Wife." After getting about two-thirds though the book, I just had to stop due to the fact that it was so bad. Lindy (main female character) has be the selfish character that I read about in the longest time. She is women who recently broke-up with her fiance, then she meet Rush Callaghan, US Navy amd after two weeks she wants to marry him. While Rush is level headed, Lindy just wants her man. As I stated, I just gave-up on this just due to the fact it was not up to Ms. Macombers usual great story telling.

Rating: Summary: Very enjoyable reading Review: Although you can figure out the ending to this book early on, it is a good story line and well written.
Rating: Summary: Navy Wife Review: Debbie Macomber once again has given us a book that is totally her. She has a way with characters that is upbeat, romantic, and three dimensional. Rush and Lindy are two people coming from bad relationships who take a chance on each other. Debbi adds her own twist to the story by throwing in the problems of living life the Navy way. It's a fun story, and a good read.
Rating: Summary: Not bad..... Review: Even though I could figure out how the book was going to end, I have to admit I wanted to finish it. Overall, it was a quick read, you could feel the sexual tension, and Rush needs to be cloned. He sounded to good to be true. This is a feel good book, and I look forward to Navy Baby and the rest of the "Navy" series. My favorite of Debbie Macombers continues to be the Alaska Trio and the Promise Series.
Rating: Summary: Now This book I enjoyed Review: I did enjoyed this book it was so good, I loved Rush I can picture him as a Navy man even though there was an age difference I didn't see it, you could tell the love that they had for each other. Lindy had to find out for herself if she had what it took to be a Navy Wife. I can't wait to read Navy Blue great read :) Happy Reading Lisa
Rating: Summary: Navy Wife - Jenny Review: Lindy Kyle has retreated to Seattle to lick her wounds. After being dumped by her financee, Lindy knew that it was time to strike out on her own. At twenty-two, she has known only one heartbreak, and thought it would break her. That all changed when she met Rush Callaghan, her brother's roommate. Rush loved the Navy more than anything. After being burned by the woman he loved, he gave everything in him to the Navy. He felt broadsided by Lindy, who was ten years younger than him and light years more naive. Even if she didn't realize that she couldn't be a Navy wife, he did. That still didn't stop him from claiming her as his own, though. Navy Wife was an incredibly sappy romance. Rush and Lindy fell in love within the first hundred pages. Lindy embraced her feelings for Rush, while he denied them. She was a little immature for my taste, as I don't see how a twenty-two year old like her could hang on to an older more mature man. It was a very predicatable book, with Lindy finally growing up and realizing that if Rush gave up the Navy he wouldn't be the man she fell in love with. I gave it four stars because the emotion was intense enough to hook me.

Rating: Summary: Navy Wife - Jenny Review: Navy Wife was one of the best books I have ever read. I think the reason I liked it so much was because the subject interested me. The book was filled with many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had the rest of the book figured out, everything would change. The ending was good also. Some books leave you hanging, wondering what will happen next, but this book left you with a good understanding of what happened to all the characters. It had a little bit of every emotion. One minute serious, the next funny. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone to read.
Rating: Summary: A Cheesy Beach Read Review: Navy Wife, is a must for a day the beach! Debbie Macomber created a perfect man when she wrote about Rush Callahan. Rush is the type that most girls dream of solid,hard-working, honorable ect. Lindy is a immature and bratty. Lindy arrives in Seattle hoping to escape the heatbreak of her hometown ex-boyfriend. She latches onto to Rush right away, swearing undying love two weeks after they met, and begging Rush to marry her as fast as possible! Rush being mature and level headed suggested to Lindy that they wait until he returns from a 6 month tour at sea, Lindy freaks and is so offended because if he loves her enough now, why shouldn't they get married? Rush doesn't want to lose Lindy so he relents and they get married. Rush then leaves on sea duty and trouble ensues. Lindy then realizes that she GASP! might have married Rush on the rebound. Well, what is girl to do? Rush in the meantime is injured at sea and Lindy flies to Hawaii, to deliver a crushing ultimatum to her injured husband. Talk about kicking a dog when he is down! Lindy forces Rush to choose between her and the Navy; he chooses the Navy. Rush returns to his ship to finish out the last 6 weeks of the tour. Lindy grows up within in the last six weeks because when Rush tells Lindy he has thought is over and He'll give up everything he has worked for just so she will be happy. Lindy then tells Rush Oh, I've grown up these past six weeks so you can stay in the Navy. Oh! how sweet! Lindy never realizes just what a good catch a man like Rush is because in the real world they would have gotton a divorce, no man wants to be castrated by his wife! This is a good book for the beach, but remember that this book is soo cheesy it should be read with a box of crackers!
