Review: I read this book for school, and even thought my time was pressed, I enjoyed it. Read it : )

Summary: Funny and poignant ... an engaging read
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has poignant moments as the mother and son reveal in alternating chapters the hole left in their lives and their family's life by the departure of the father. It also has moments so funny that I laughed out loud. Yes it's predictable as the Kirkus review said ... but the journey is so engaging that I forgot to care about that.
