Review: This is a wonderful book - Angela Thirkell wrote during the 30's - 50's and had such a beautiful British way of viewing life. She has humor and wit and a keen perception about a way of living that has long-since dissapeared. Her characters often reappear in other novels. There is even an Angela Thirkell Society thriving in the UK and US. This book is about perceptions and the difference between spoken and unspoken.
