Summary: So close...but falls short in the end
Review: The book is very good, though I must admit I found it difficult to get into in the beginning. Having to read about Hayden Lane, the romance writer in the present was extremely boring. The part regarding Cathering & Tavey wasn't exactly thrilling either but it was vital to the section about Callie and Tallis. Those two will have you in tears!!! And they totally make up for the lack of feeling I got from the other characters. I think the concept of the story was great and the time traveling part interesting and fun to follow, but the book spends so much time on Callie and Tallis and making you LOVE them, that when you are switched over into the other time periods you feel cheated and disinterested. Overall, Jude delivers romance, excitement and lots of laughs, typical of all her books.

Summary: Soul mates or hocus pocus?
Review: I have been wanting to read something by Jude Deveraux for a long time, and while at my library, _Rememberance_ caught my attention. I hadn't heard anything about it, but thought, hey what the heck, and picked it up. As you start reading, you are introduced to Hayden Lane, an unhappy romance writer who is in love with a man she made up for one of her stories but never actually wrote about. She becomes more obsessed with him, and her fiance dumps her. Wanting to find out what is wrong with her, Hayden seeks professional help, but no one can tell her what is wrong. When she seeks out a physcic named Nora, the woman tells Hayden that she is unhappy in this life because of something that happened in her past life. She can never find love because in the Elizabethan age she and her soul mate put curses on each other that would make it so that they would never be happy together, in the life they were living, or in future lives. This intrigues Hayden, and she is soon digging up stuff about a woman, Lady de Grey, whom is said by Nora to be one of her former selves during the early 1900s. During a hypnotising session with her friend Millie's hypnotist, Hayden is whisked back to the time of Lady de Grey and promptly faints because of the unpleasent sensation of a corsett. Lady de Grey is married to her soul mate, but because of the past curses, they hate each other. Hayden sees that she can do nothing to make the two love each other and figures that she will never find love because it is impossible to make the two love each other. She sees an add for a hypnotist and figures that that will be her ticket back to the future. When Hayden tells the hypnotist where she would like to go, she inocently says "the begining" meaning back to her own time, but instead she is taken back to the begining when the soul mate buissness first started with her, the Elizabethan age.

In that age, the story begins of Talis and Callesandra (Hayden). The two are born on the same day in the same hour and somehow their spirits are intertwined. They grow up together, but cannot be sepparated for long or else the two will basically grow weak and die. When they grow up, the two look at each other with a deep deep love. But a long standing hate threatens the two's rare and amazing love. Will Hayden be able to figure out how to undo the curses the two put on each other and will she be able to get back to her own time?

_Rememberance_ is truly an epic novel with twists and turns and three loves in one. The character development of Talis and Callie (the two real main characters) is spectacular. I felt for Callie and thought she was one of the best romantic heroines I've seen in a while. She is not drop dead gorgeous, but she has a mind of her own and tells amazing stories. Talis is absolutely wonderful. He *is* handsom, but thinks himself a shadow compared to Callie and thinks she is the most beautiful thing in the universe. He thinks Callie's stories are the most entertaining things ever told. Their relationship was truly earth shaking. I liked the fact that some of this book didn't end happily ever after, but most of it did. This was one of the few romance books that I actually sobbed in. I cried for about an hour.

This was my first book by Jude Deveraux, and my book pile is growing with her books. Her writing style is fresh and touching. She makes you believe in things that you thought were just hocus pocus. _Rememberance_ has a special place in my heart now, and I will always remember it. The plot is unique, and I hope my soul mate makes an apperance sometime in my life. The only thing I didn't like about it was the end was a little corny but the rest was fabulous. So if you're thinking about reading a Jude Deveraux book, read this. If you remotely like Jude Deveraux, read this. If you like romance, read this. You will not be dissapointed.

Summary: I love Jude's writing usually, but...
Review: this one was so aggravating to me. I really love books on reincarnation. I had read Knight in Shining Armour (my favorite Deveraux by far), and I understood from the description of this one, that it was sort of a new spin on the same theme. Well nope.

Don't get me wrong, I really loved how the mc got back to a previous life, and how she, in the previous life, went back to another previous life. But after that I skipped pages. I really did not want to know all about the childhood.

That middle part could have been compacted into two chapters, imho. That is where this book sells short for me. It is a pity though, because the ending did bring tears to my eyes. So that is why I give this book three stars in stead of two.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Long...but fulfilling.
Review: The beginning got me intrigued, but when it came to the middle, the long story of Callie's and Talis' childhood was pretty boring, but it was all worth it by the time they were in their teens. When you reach the climax, you will definitely shred some tears, hoping that that wasn't the end. Fortunately for us readers :), Jude Deveraux had other things in mind. You'll just have to buy and read it to know! This book will definitely keep you hanging onto each word, worping you into their lives and into the past, and will definitely change your emotions throughout the book.

Summary: Intriguing and excellent read
Review: I've never read any time travel-type books, but this one is really amazing. It's also my first Jude Deveraux, and I'll definitely be looking for more of both this author and this genre. This story is so unique, and so heartwarming, that it's hard to imagine that someone could even make this stuff up... what an imagination!!! It was a little difficult to follow at times, when the time travel switched back and forth... but even though it took me awhile to finish this book... it was well worth it. This isn't the kind of book that you can rush through... each word takes you on a unique and welcome adventure. Jude Deveraux did an amazing job with this book!

Summary: Infinite love...
Review: The best Romance novel I have ever read. It is as if all the love that exists in this world has been given a solid form in this book. The Characters will have you in tears and make you dream of a love like theirs...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Laughed and cried!
Review: Wow! This book is, hands down, my absolute favorite of Deveraux's. She is by far my favorite romance author, and I have read, and own, all of her books. If you are looking to get lost in a story that will truly make you feel, then this is it.

The story of Callie and Talis is absolutely gut-wrenching! I just love when Jude does that! The book starts out one way, and you think you know exactly how it's gonna be, then she completely surprises you!

Read this book!

Summary: One of the best books
Review: I read this book a while ago, but i can tell you that the story is still fresh in my mind, that's how good it is. Jude deveroux made magic when she wrote this book. The plot is so rich and creative. I cannot write anything that hasn't been writen before. This is the first book that made me cry. I love her idea of soulmates. I've read a few other Deveroux books and she ties in this idea of soulmates into many of them.
If i had to say anything negative about this book is that the ending was kind of weak. It could be i felt this way because the content of the rest of the book is so involving and the end just is not as developed as the rest of the book.
All in all this book is excellent. There's a great love story here. Makes you wonder if you do have a soulmate, who he is and if u'll meet him in this lifetime.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of my all time favorites of Deveraux
Review: This book just get's better and better. It truly grasps everything a woman is looking for when finding her soulmate. You can't help but dream or wish you were as lucky as Callie and Talis; but this story will make you cry (not that that is a bad thing, who doesn't love a good story to cry over?). This is definitely a keeper for any woman who is looking for a beautifully written love story to read, just make sure you have plenty of time on the side to read as much as you can- you're not going to want to put this one down, I guarantee it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Needed Further Development
Review: I really liked the idea of the past life regressions in a love story, but of the 3 different lives explored in the book, only one is really told in depth. This idea could have been developed further and you are cut off short by the abrupt ending. Very clever ideas, but the chain of events will catch you off guard. Just when you think you are about to read a historical romance about Edwardian England, you find out you're not. Clever but not her best.
