Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful-hearted novel
Review: What a fine, strong, sassy and wise narrator Cindy Eppes has created. A clear-eyed witness to messy adult shenanigans, Eppes' narrator weaves a sound tale of the heart. Read this book, then read it again.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not a perfect 5, but still very good
Review: When I first started reading, I thought that the author gave away too much too soon, but I then realized that the point of the book isn't figuring out what happened, but observing how it affected the lives of so many people. I think that Eppes did a wonderful job with character development -- she definitely left me wishing for a Lou Jean or a Rose or a Carmen in my life.
