Review: I have read this book many times. It is not only a book about the past of our country, it is a view into everyday life in the 1800's. Aunt Jane is wise and funny and the characters she describes in the book come to life. The quilting chapter is for anyone who loves quilts. Aunt Jane is wonderful.
