Rating: Summary: Funny Review: If I've read a funnier book, I don't remember. It made me laugh out loud! That never happens! It's impossible to be in a bad mood after reading this book. I highly recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Should have known from the title Review: If you like Olivia Goldsmith, don't even think about opening this book or your opinion of her talent will be radically altered. The premise is unbelievably bad, the characters and their dialogue are totally unrealistic and the writer surely cannot be Olivia Goldsmith. I wince to think that I read even 50 pages of this tripe before closing the book with a resounding thud.
Rating: Summary: Love - Based on Inside or Out... Review: If you're looking for a realistic romance, then you will indeed be disappointed. The story is indeed fictional, but the plot is carefully designed to ask the question: Can the force of love see beyond superficial beauty? Look beyond the surface of the story and you'll find a rich tale which explores an ageold question. Ms. Goldsmith, with humor and intricacy, weaves a tale of two women, who could be sisters, if not twins, and their adventure with the same man. I read often enough so that it's no longer easy for me to be emotionally affected. With this book, I cheared, laughed, and shouted as I empathesized.
Rating: Summary: One of the worst books I've ever read Review: It's hard to believe that any publisher agreed to publish this book. I felt like a real jerk for buying it and actually taking the time to read the entire thing. It's got an outlandish premise and the characters are silly and shallow. A complete and utter waste of time and money.
Rating: Summary: funny, moving, and oh-so real! Review: Just finished this book and would like to let women know just how great this book is. It is one of those books that will pull you right in. Funny, moving, and true to life - this book has alot to offer to women who are married or single - showing us "the grass ain't necessarily greener on the other side". We just have to be happy wherever we are, and work with what we've got.
Rating: Summary: I don't know..... Review: Not one of Olivia's best, as far as I'm concerned. I don't care about how unbelievable the plot is (though it IS THE most unbelievable of her books I've read so far), but I was extremely annoyed by what I considered to be a terrible, terrible ending to an otherwise perfectly good book. I won't give it away, but I was very disappointed, so much so that I held off reading another Goldsmith for another 2 months after reading 3 in a row.....

Rating: Summary: Not one of her best, not even one of her worst. Review: Obviously Hollywood has gotten to Olivia Goldsmiths head. This book was one of the lamest ones I have read by her and I have read them all. The book was not only short in length but it lacked all the components of an Olivia Goldsmith novel. She must have been in a hurry to crank one out. We were ripped off on this one. My biggest regret is shelling out the money for this in hardcover. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Rating: Summary: Switcheroo is a Stinkeroo Review: Olivia Goldsmith has taken her fascination with achieving sexual desirability through diet, exercise, and plastic surgery to a ridiculous level. The devices that served her stories in previous books have become the substance of the story in this book, much to the detriment of the work and the dismay of her loyal readers. Whether she hurried to meet a deadline or has simply lost her muse, Ms. Goldsmith has far missed the mark with this attempt.
Rating: Summary: Pure silliness Review: Olivia Golsmith isn't exactly a literary genius, and the plot goes beyond implausable into the realm of utter unbeleiveability. However, I really enjoyed this book. The characters, especially Sylvie's mother and Marla, are very funny, and the dialogue had me laughing out loud. I particularly loved the scene where Sylvie reveals Bob's affair to her mother, confirming it with the damning evidence that he'd gotten a pedicure. This is a great book to escape into - just leave your skepticism and sense of realism at the door.
