Rating: Summary: I Love Chase!! Review: Another winner for me!! After reading "The Playboy" I could not wait for Chase's story! It was sure worth the wait. I also loved Sloane, sometimes when you read a book it doesn't go the way you would want it to. I am so gald that this went my way. They are a great couple, this book is a keeper for me. Happy Reading Lisa
Rating: Summary: Will Sloane Carlisle Become the Next Chandler Bride? Review: Brought up as a senator's daughter, Sloane Carlisle was living a fairytale life. Close to her mothers, father and twin sisters, her busy life in Washington D.C. left her little time to contemplate what she might be missing.Until one day she overhears a horrible secret: the man she thought was her father, Michael Carlisle, really isn't. Desperate to warn her biological father of the threat, Sloane finds herself in out-of-the way Yorkshire Falls. And will she be able to find her father in time to save him? The Heartbreaker is a comical, light-hearted romance about a couple that clearly should be together even though they fight it. With a hint of mystery thrown in to make the courtship even more difficult, it makes the reader root for the couple even more. From an on-again, off-again affair, to a meddling mother, to a choice between career and family, The Heartbreaker keeps the pages turning until the happily-ever-after ending.
Rating: Summary: She does it again! Review: Carly Phillips does it again in this sexy, intriguing book. The third in a trillogy about the charming Chandler boys, this book will keep you in its clutches until the very last page. Phillips does an excellent job of combining a great plotline with lots of steamy scenes to send your hormones out of control. Chase Chandler, the last of the Chandler boys to "hook up" so to speak, is ironically the eldest of the clan. Determined to gain his independence, something he lost when his father died and he was left to help his mother raise his two young brothers, Chase has no plans to marry in the future. That is, until he meets a strange and beautiful lady and has an unforgetable one night stand with her. Certain he will never see her again, imagine Chase's surprise when he meets up with the Senator's daughter and looks into very familiar eyes... This particular book is predictable but still charming and extremely enjoyable. Phillips manages to make even the most common ending uncommon. Congrats on yet another winner!

Rating: Summary: Great Hero, Not So Great Heroine Review: Concluding the trilogy with the oldest Chandler brother was an eventful read.
Chase was the brother I was most looking forward to. So since I like going in order, needless to say, I was a little impatient to get to the Heartbreaker. While I can't say it was worth the wait, it wasn't a complete disappointment.
Chase was as I expected plus a lot more. As in the first book with the hero, I found I could not like the heroine that well, Sloane. Although I enjoyed her story, I didn't like her too much, and could not see her with Chase at all. Again it seemed more sex than substance. While I could tell he cared for her, I thought she would be better suited for another type of guy.
All in all it was a good story with a great hero.
Rating: Summary: VERY Disappointing Review: Having not read any of Carly Phillips' previous books, but hearing their praises from my friends, I was excited to find a pre-sale proof copy of this at my local used book store. Since I had a vacation upcoming, I thought it would be an enjoyable light read for my time off. Light, yes. Enjoyable, no. What a cliche ridden, horribly written book. Phillips' descriptions were repetitive everytime Chase and the girl (I can't even remember her name) went at it. The characters were shallow and poorly drawn, and the end was totally predictable. All in all, it was a very disappointing, but fortunately quick, read. I like "Chick-Lit" books, which I was led to belive this was, but it's not. It's a half-step from a Harlequin Romance and I gave those up in HIGH SCHOOL. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for a hardcover on this. This book is a bad soap opera and I certainly won't be reading any of the others in the series. There are many other books that I would recommend over this one.
Rating: Summary: The Heartbreaker A Great book to relax to Review: I got this book the day it came out and finished in no time because this book was great. It was a perfect ending to the chandler brothers. Be sure to get this book and the Bachelor and the playboy. These books are great. This book kept me on my toes at all times. The chemistry in this book was over the top!
Rating: Summary: HARDBACK??? How sneaky!! Review: I just came online to see when the latest book of the trilogy would be out. I was shocked to see this latest installment was released in hardback when the previous two were paperback. How sneaky of the publisher to suck is into the series just to get more bucks out of us on the third and final book by making us spend 10 bucks more on hardback. I almost want to not buy it since I'm so annoyed by this. I do want to see how it ends though. *SIGH* Okay, I feel better now.
Rating: Summary: Three and a half stars Review: I just finished The Heartbreaker, the last in a series of three. Make sure you read the first two (The Bachelor and The Playboy) first. This one gives away the endings of those books. Although this wasn't my favorite story about the Chandler boys, it was still a good book and I'm sad that it's over. I have been engrossed in their lives for the last 1000 or so total pages. If you have read the first two books, this is a must read, even though the love story isn't terrific and there seems to be a lot of drama in this one. But throughout the book you find out more about Roman and Rick's lives, along with closure for everyone's lives at the end. This series has made me a Carly Phillips fan and I look forward to reading her other books.
Rating: Summary: Carly Phillips does it again... Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. But, unfortunately I'm having trouble determining whether I like the book for the books sake or because I enjoyed the other two Chandler boys' stories... Because he's so shy, Chase is the most difficult to like, so I feel like Phillips needed to work doubly hard to make this book a success... All in all I think it was the surrounding storyline and the series wrap-up that made me like it so much. It wasn't the romance between Chase and Sloane and that was dissapointing. Still a great book; still one I couldn't put down. But, instead of absolute fireworks, I was left with wanting to know more about what's gonna happen with the other characters than what's gonna happen between Chase and Sloane. I'd like to suggest to Ms. Phillips that she write another Yorkshire Falls novel, set 10 years or so in the future, focusing on Kendall's sister, Hannah. Then we'll get to see what's become of all the characters we've come to love and hopefully we'll get one last shot a true romance because if nothing else, that's what The Heartbreaker was missing.
