Summary: BRAVO BRIDGET!
Review: Having recently read this book, I must say I can't wait for the film to appear! I hope Ms. Fielding gets to write the script herself. An Oscar should be set aside for her.

Summary: Feeling down? dysfunctional? Refer to Bridget!
Review: Bridget Jones is a product of the post-feminist '90s, a single woman seeking happiness and fulfilment in the form of that elusive decent job, boyfriend, and 'inner poise'. Where this book really stands out is in the way it portrays the undermining lack of confidence that affects so many women of all ages. It's also a tonic: Bridget nurtures the same preoccupations and insecurities as all of us, and blunders through life in a way that makes you feel positively good about yourself. At once the reader can relate to and sympathize with this character and her foibles, and yet be reassured that they will never gaff in quite the same manner. I don't believe this novel is superficial; rather, it's a humorous - and sometimes in-depth - look at one side of life from the perspective of a thirty something singleton.

Summary: We've all been here! It's our story.
Review: Laugh out loud at each turn of the page! I feel like I'm not alone in the world with nutty thoughts and insecurities after reading this book. I've passed it on to some friends, all of whom feel the same. Helen Fielding makes Bridget so real, because she's telling how we've all felt at one time or too many! Hopefully she'll carry on with a follow-up.

Summary: I'VE NEVER LAUGHED SO MUCH !!
Review: Bridget Jones' is one very funny character...and she is very true to life. I am married now, but when I was single, I had a life very similar to hers. This book is just pure entertainment. If you are looking for a meaningful literary experience go elsewhere - this is just a hilirious read - it was quick and easy and i would recommend it to any woman who has an annoying mother, or ever had any bad luck with men!!

Summary: The funniest thing that came from UK this year...
Review: I loved that book... I don't know about the rest of you, but I could relate to some of Bridget characteristics. The story is funny, some situations are pure fiction, but as a whole, the book is amusing at its best. It is highly recommendable for pure amusement - not a lot of thinking, but some of its appeal is lost if your are not British (which is my case) . Anyway - I loved and if you like to laugh, buy it now!

Summary: Funny, but familiar
Review: The book was a good read: funny, well written. It was obvious, that the writer knew her material, even though she denied it right in the beginning of the book. But, has everybody forgotten a equally funny "Sheila Levin is dead and living in NewYork"? I am not talking about Bridget being a New Generation's European, more sophisticated Sheila: there are a lot of referrals, like the sex instead of eating, in Bridget that I read in "Sheila..." 15 years ago.

Summary: Hysterical, I couldn't put it down.
Review: From the moment I opened the book I was amazed at the striking resemblance between Bridget Jones and myself. The book is perfect for single women, depressed women, or anyone looking for a common ground. Bridget Jones's Diary is revealing, honest, and incredibly funny.

Summary: V.G. book
Review: Bridget's look at life is refreshingly funny. You will fall on the ground with laughter from start to finish. This book has many bright points but especially funny is Bridget's mother. The only down parts are that a few of the plot twists are predictable. Even so this is a great read.

Summary: WOW
Review: WOW is the best way I can sum up this book. I am convinced that Helen Fielding stole my diary and published it. I recommend this book to anyone single, or anyone that keeps meeting the wrong guys, or anyone that is sometimes amazed by their parents, etc. Every one of us women has a little Bridget Jones in us!
