Summary: Best of series
Review: I am definitely a fan of Jan Karon's. I have read all of her books, and was captivated by every one of them.. A New Song is my most favorite so far. This book was as light and fresh as the first in her series. I plan to start over now, and read them all over again.. I just hope there will be another Mitford book soon!!

Summary: The entire series is so enjoyable and the characters so real
Review: I enjoyed all 5 books in the series and was sorry when I finished the last book. The characters become "old friends" and I did not want to let go. All of my friends have either read the first four or are in the process and everyone feels the same way. Jan Karon brings the characters to life in such a nice easy style. It was a pleasure to read a modern day novel that was not trashy.

I look forward to any new books that Jan will wirte in the future.

Summary: Mitford and Whitecap feel like family ....I love it!

Summary: Jan Karon does it again!
Review: I purchased this long-anticipated book about three weeks ago, but at great sacrifice, I saved it to read on a cruise vacation. While everyone else stayed up till 2 am partying, I stayed up reading the latest installment on Father Tim. I just loved it! Although I missed the Mitford characters, they were just as funny in their cameo appearances and I really enjoyed getting acquainted with a new bunch. I was actually stopped on the cruise ship by an ecstatic Karon fan who was unaware there was a new book available. We talked for a good 10 minutes! My husband, who has not read the Mitford series, couldn't get over it. "What's so great about those books, anyway?" I challenged him to read them and find out. On the flight home, I read a review in a magazine (PEOPLE, maybe?) that stated Jan Karon should stick to Mitford, but I disagree. I thought the book was just as warm and touching as all the previous 5. I especially like Cynthia! A must-read.

Summary: She's done it again!
Review: I have read all four of the Mitford series so many times, my books are almost worn out. I wouldn't even lend them out to any of my friends for fear they wouldn't be returned, but they all bought their own and love them just as much as I do. Now I finally have the fifth one and Fr. Tim and Cynthia are just as lovable as ever along with their new parishioners. I'm on my second reading already. Please, Ms. Karon, don't ever stop writing about my special friends.

Summary: A soothing escape
Review: All of Jan's Karon's novels epitomize escapism at it's best. Every time I finish one of her books, I am sorry and even a bit depressed at having to once again leave Mitford and it's charming, warm, and amusing residents. Start with At Home in Mitford, and enjoy this heartwarming series. You will wish that you lived in Mitford...and for a short while, you will feel as if you do.

Summary: All I can say is, she has outdone herself!!
Review: I had been counting the days until the release of the latest of Jan Karon's newest book in her Mitford series!! I was a little apprenhensive about Father Tim and Cynthia leaving the beloved town of Mitford, but I shouldn't have worried at all! If possible, I truly believe this is the best one of Jan's books yet!! I loved meeting all the new characters, and renewing my acquaintance with all the old ones!! My favorite character in this book is Morris Love, and I was so touched, how Father Tim reaches out to him!!

All, I can say is if you have not read this book, find it and sit down and enjoy one of the best books you will read in a very long time!!

Thank you Jan Karon for these truly touching, sweet, and inspirational books!!

Summary: I hope this series never ends!
Review: Jan Karon has definitely done it again- this is a story that can easily have 20 volumes to it and you would never get tired of these characters. Each story is so descriptive, I felt like I was in Mitford and Whitecap. May Father Tim and Cynthia long live- am awaiting the 6th in the series!

Summary: Ready to move to Mitford
Review: I grew up in such a town, only in New England. I love it, and I love Mitford, and love Jan Karon's writing. Her characters and situations are real and endearing. As a person of faith, I admire and appreciate how the characters' is interwoven as part of their daily life, as it should be. I enjoyed the adventures in Whitecap, but let's get back to Mitford soon. I too, am a writer, and only wish my writing was as compelling as Karon's.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I wasn't prepared to like it so much!
Review:

Like other Karon fans, I was attached to Mitford, its charm and refreshing cast of characters. I wasn't sure I'd like Father Tim and Cynthia's being transplanted to another place. However, Karon worked her usual magic and I was completely taken in with the new location, stories and characters.

If you like sweet, gentle fiction, read Karon's books --- read them in order so you can appreciate Father Tim and the changes that come to him in mid-life.

I'll be waiting for Number 6!

Way to go, Ms. Karon!
