Review: Off the Hook by Ciara Wimby is a GREAT novel for a "virgin" writer.
The first chapter made me want to keep on reading. And the more I read, the more I wanted to get to the next chapters. That Karen is so much like some of us women---confused and "iffy" (when it comes to men and love). I just had to keep on reading to see who she'll finally settle down with, or if she will ever do just that---settle down. I was all excited about her finally decision!
Now, as far as, the trio (the girls)---that's us women. We have our posse (hommies) just like the men. I can truly relate to the closeness and trust the girls (Jasmine, Nicole and Karen)have with one another. The spotlights (clubs), the men and the langauge were like I was there, living it up all over, again (in my heydays).
I cannot say enough about this novel, except it is a MUST read! It has its humor, sadness, romance, good/bad days and joy---all wrapped into one novel. That's life!
I did truly enjoy this book and I am sure you will, too!

Off the Hook! will appeal to almost everyone - from the young adult, hip (and not so hip), fun-loving generation who are just venturing out into the world, taking life as it comes and trying to figure out how to make the hard choices while squeezing in maximum singles-life type fun (before marriage, babies and the workplace won't let them), to the older more established set who have "been there/done that" but can still remember what it was like "back in the day", and to everyone in between.

It doesn't make any difference whether you are a young hottie or a grandparent, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, Off the Hook! is for you.

Let Karen and Steven and Jasmine and Christopher and Sabrina and Dorian and Nicole and Jason and all the rest treat you to some crazy, juicy, scandalous adventure that's as wild and funny as a talk show or a daytime soap opera.

By the time you finish reading Ciara Wimby's Off The Hook!, you'll swear that these characters are real. You'll be talking out loud to yourself about their antics until you can get the chance to gossip about them with somebody else!

You are bound to see your friends, relatives, co-workers (or even yourself) in at least one of these characters as you fly irresistably along with them in this non-stop drama.

Off the Hook! is a rollercoaster ride of emotions ranging from love, jealousy, frailty, confusion, joy, pain, frustration, anger and desire. Mostly though, it is a testimony to the bond of trust, dependability and loyalty that can exist among friends who are there for each other through thick and thin. To think anything else is missing the point.

So, if you want to have some fun and you want to be entertained, sit back, relax and fasten your seatbelts as you hang on for dear life through a lot of good old-fashioned "Oh, no she didn't!" action, and let yourself go
