Summary: Not the usual Katherine Stone
Review: I too was disappointed and I kept checking everywhere in the book to see if this was possibly a reprint from early in her career. I love her books, but this one was confusing. Was Galen as beautiful as Lucas thought, from the description she was a total mess! What was all of this flowing hair, and turguoise coat descriptions. Sorry Katherine.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful romance
Review: I'm not understanding some of the negative comments -- except to say to each her own. I loved Home at Last, couldn't put it down, didn't find it confusing or overwritten at all, and the way Lucas took care of her... It's true that Katherine Stone has a very distinctive style, which if you love, you love, and if you don't, you don't.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Very entertaining.
Review: Katherine does an excellent job of building you up to the climax of the story but the romantic ending was a bit over done. She could have dedicated more time on the bad guy, letting you get to know him a little better instead of the paragraph explaining why he turned out the way he did at the end of the story. The characters were believalbe and their romance was believable but the ending was just a little too sweet. She is still my favorite contemporary writer. I hope that I enjoy A Midnight Clear as much as I did Twins.

Summary: Wonderful! A best BESTseller!
Review: Katherine Stone does it again, an emotional love story with a dynamite hero and a heroine I really cared about. PLus, a mystery, suspense, fascinating twists and turns. Highly recommended.

Summary: A new contemporary romance by a beloved author
Review: Lucas Hunter is a cop because of his gift, his curse-his uncanny ability to communicate with criminals, to understand and sense the evil lusts of psychopaths. His abilities are tested when Manhattan's Lady Killer murders four of the city's most stunning women, all of whom are close to Lucas. The killer wants the undivided attention of the legendary lieutenant. Now that he has it, he decides to communicate through Galen Chandler. The new anchorwoman for Manhattan's top TV is convinced she's woefully unqualified for her job. Desperate to prove herself, she strikes a dangerous deal with the Lady Killer, a deal that throws her into the life of Lucas Hunter. But when their attraction turns to love, Galen finds herself next on the Lady Killer's list-and he knows right where to find her.

"...Katherine Stone infuses her work with a lyrical and emotional writing style." -Romantic Times

Summary: Soooo romantic!!!!
Review: Lucas was a little mysterious, yes, but a true hero, and he loved Galen for who she was inside. He didn't care whether or not she was beautiful (although it seemed to me that she was). He cared about HER. I loved the book, and can't wait for Julia's story. The excerpt drew me right in.

Summary: Home at Last
Review: Read in one setting. This book has been the best I have read of Stone's work. The characters grab you and hold you throughout the entire story. I did not want to story end.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sensational book!!! I didn't want it to end.
Review: Romantic, suspenseful, and interesting. The author adds tiny details about her characters that makes them so real. Can't wait for the sequel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful, romantic, involving book.
Review: There were so many interesting touches in the book that made both Galen and Lucas feel very real to me, multilayered and intriguing. I liked both of them, and was rooting for both of them, very much. I'm a Katherine Stone fan, and this book didn't disappoint me at all. In fact, I'd rank it as one of her very best. Which is saying a lot!

Summary: Katherine Stone has written better books.
Review: This book was not her best writing. It was overly emotional. The "herione" was an emotional wreck and frankly I got tired of reading the too descriptive paragraphes (pages) of her emotional problems. The "hero" of the book seemed a bit cold and he too had pages of emotional problems. I can't possibly see any man falling in love with a woman like her. The ending was totally unbelieveble and made me wonder why I bothered to read the whole book. If you want to read a better book by this author try Pearl Moon.
