Summary: warm collaborative tale of friendship and love
Review: Anyone who knows Elyssa Wentworth believes her significant other is her company, Allheart.com an online greeting service. Potential investor Joe Monteigne of Highwire Industries wants to put capital into her firm because he sees possibilities, but Elyssa wonders if her attraction to Joe distorts her opinion.

Elyssa's young personal assistant Robyn Barrett is struggling to get to work on the new ideas but her productivity has dropped. She is attracted to Steven Rood , a pianist she met at a club. She wants him, but she wonders if he can take her seriously as everyone knows she is a flit.

Saleswoman Carole Titus is quite good at bringing in business to Allheart, but has no faith in men after years with her ex. That is until she is rescued by senate staffer Mitch Evans who is on a delayed flight. They are attracted to one another though she frets over being almost a decade older than him.

Alix Harris is the only one with no male troubles as she lives with a stud and is as kind a person as anyone can be. However, Alix's perfect world of delicious breakfasts and weekend treks, etc. ends when she learns that her roommate is gay. However there is Marc Preston to consider.

The four novellas are actually one collaborative novel that has plenty of camaraderie and romance lighting up the DC skies. The four "tales" plus that of a fifth female employee that runs through each segment are a delight for romance readers. The authors insure each woman never loses their basic personality established relatively early. Thus the audience receives a warm tale of friendship and love.

Summary: Tedious
Review: Honestly, this book looked so promising... predictable is a HUGE understatement in this case. I mean, romance and chick lit always has a certain level of predictability, but is it too much to expect good dialogue, interesting characters and a believable storyline? This book makes it sound as though working in the dot com industry is a sure fire way to hook up with hot, rich, successful young men who happen to be good in bed too. The first story abt the CEO of the company was OK but by the time I finished the book it feels like I've read 1 story 4 times. It was a hell of a chore to finish this book and that was only bcos I spent 35 bucks on it. Don't waste your money or your time on this.

Summary: Never put it down
Review: I am not one for reading books, but this book i couldnt put down

Summary: This book was way too predictable
Review: I felt that this book was way too predictable and boring. It lacked an exciting plotline and the scenes were way too short to capture my attention. I brought it on vacation and had to buy another book because I couldn't get through it. It would've been much better if the romance between these couples was more built up. The dialogue did not really hold my attention either.

Summary: Quick and easy read
Review: I like these types of books to escape reality every so often. I've read better, but this one went quick and was easy to get through. I do find myself wanting to read "More Lipstick Chronicles" just to find out what happens to these girls though! Not bad, borrow it or buy it used.

Summary: Great start, but didn't hold my interest...
Review: I liked the premise of this book. It promised an interesting mix of chick-lit, romance and some very light erotica. The Lipstick Chronicles is a fun book with four stories about four friends and colleagues who meet the loves of their lives in unexpected ways. I liked the first story about an independent CEO and the handsome investor who steals her heart. This book was fun to read at first, but it became tiresome after the third story. The stories were too similar and the characters became tedious after a while. Each story is written by a different author, but there isn't a single thing that differentiates the writers -- it's almost as though one person wrote them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that The Lipstick Chronicles had a good premise, but it didn't hold my interest for long. It just didn't do it for me...

Summary: entertaining..yet perdictable
Review: It was cute, funny and entertaining to go through each stage of the five womens lives. However, the stories were extremely predictable and could have used a few more twist to their stories. I enjoyed it.

Summary: Great weekend read
Review: That is because you can read it in a weekend, it is that good! I picked it up on a Friday and was done Sunday.

It is a book about different women on different paths in life but still all have a common issue, trouble with men... until the right one comes along!

Any woman or man who loves a good romantic tale will love this book :)

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: brain candy
Review: The first 3-4 chapters are absolutely fantastic!! Couldn't put it down...different women, different lives, different love lives!! I didn't much care for the last chapters because of the type of relationship the couple had, but that's me!! Definitely a good read!!

Summary: same story 4 times
Review: The first story was not so bad, but being that there are 4 different authors, you would think that the 4 stories would each be a little bit different. Here is the recap - 4 independent business women, all of which have a dating handicap for one reason or another, meet the men of their dreams within the first few pages of each story. The man changes how they feel about men and then they live happily ever after. BORING!! Not to mention the constant references to designer duds such as Manolos, Hermes, etc. just doesn't bring any value to this book. It worked for Sex and the City because Sarah Jessica Parker is a style icon. This book is a whole lotta "been there done that" and is not worth the time it took to read.
