Rating: Summary: Yuck! Review: Somehow I finished this book--sort of. I did skim a lot of pages along the way. And someone had told me it was good! The doctor and Dallas only seemed to be good friends yet they agree to marry after only knowing each other for a few weeks. He dies and then she meets the brother. She distrusts him, overcomes that, looks forward to a date with him and then cries over Dallas. It didn't work for me. Then things get resolved, a YEAR passes and just like that, things are better than before. Dallas and Jack seemed TOO different from each other to be believed. Don't waste your time or money on this one.
Rating: Summary: fantastic read Review: There wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. I couldn't wait to get back to it when I did have to stop reading. I thought the characters were super. Nothing lacking here but then Fern Michaels always gives a first class read. Good work, Fern. Hannah Kelly end
Rating: Summary: I found this book predictable and frought with errors. Review: This book reads like a high-school journal. I have to say that after encountering the twelfth typographical error, I began searching for the publisher's address in a frustrated attempt to write back to them, informing them that their proofers were all on vacation when the print files were released. I wound up putting it on the shelf unfinished, and I plan to include it in my next yard sale. The plot was predictable and I found the characters to be shallow. I read a lot of fiction, but I was embarrassed to tell my friends about this one. I don't expect to read any more of this author's work, but I would advise her to find another publisher, one who can actually provide editing services.
Rating: Summary: A page turner Review: This was a great story. My librarian turned me on to Fern Michaels and since then I've read almost everything she's written. What I like is the hard covers are deep and intense and the soft covers are faster and lighter. This story was sooo good, I'll probably read it again.
Rating: Summary: A waste of time. Poorly developed characters. Review: This was my first (and last) Fern Michaels book. The characters never seem to have any kind of relationship at all and the only interesting person in the book was Nellie. Also, the ending was terrible. I thought she went with the wrong brother.
Rating: Summary: Bravo! Review: This was my first book from Fern Michaels. It was horrible. I'm surprise she stayed with Dallas. The dialogue was stupid. Horrible book.
Rating: Summary: I just didn't get it Review: This was my first book from Fern Michaels. It was horrible. I'm surprise she stayed with Dallas. The dialogue was stupid. Horrible book.
Rating: Summary: Great story, but I wanted more details... Review: This was my frist book by this author. I read advanced uncorrected proof edition of this book, so I really don't know if the story has been changed with mass-market edition or not....but as far as what I read, I wish there was more details between Dallas's accident and his reappearance. After he disappeared, we won't read about him unil later when he reappeared again, but we won't find out what happened to him during that missing days ...maybe I am being picky, but I'd be more satisfied if there was more details. But I absolutely loved this story! I love rock star heroes....maybe I should get regular edition of this book, and see if I was missing someing...
Rating: Summary: my favorite author Review: You are my most favorite author. I just love you to death. I've been leaving messges all over the place. Hope you get to read some of them. I loved Sara's Song. Good story. Good characters and a super plot. It sure kept my attention. All my friends bought it the day it came out. Whatever you do, don't stop writing. Gina Wagner
