Summary: Keeps you wondering until the very end...a great read
Review: A big fan of Ms. Michaels. I "saved" this book for my summer hiatus. Couldn't wait to pick it up and then couldn't put it down. Love all her references to SC and especially Charleston. Ms. Michaels keeps you in suspense until the very end. Made me laugh and cry.

I recommend for both new and old fans.

Summary: Bravo!
Review: As is the norm for this author of dozens of blockbuster novels and known for her memorable works of popular fiction, true to form, Fern Michaels delivers what her audience expects! A darn good story with characters you'll remember long after you've placed the book on your keeper shelf. "Sara's Song" takes readers on a " behind-the-scenes-tour" into the world of popular music and a glimpse at the private life a medical doctor. With this intriguing mix of professions, Ms. Michaels tells the story of a love so strong, so profound that it defies death.

Summary: Cozy read for a rainy day
Review: Because I work full time and am raising a family my reading time is special to me. I saved this book for the long 4th of July weekend along with Finders Keepers. I read both of them while I sat under my sun umbrella in two days. What a mix of characters in Sara's Song. Each character was so totally different and so real I hated to see the book end. I thought the plot was really good and I rooted for Dallas from the git-go. I had the feeling he was somehow going to be very special to the book even though he "died". I have an aunt like Nellie who is so in your face I thought I was reading about her. That's what I like about this author's books. Everything is so real I feel like I experienced whatever it was that was happening myself. A lot of writers can't make me feel like that. It was a great book.

I'm one of your biggest fans.

Summary: Glad I wasn't the only one that hated this book.
Review: Don't waste your time. I didn't. After the first 100 pages I kept waiting for it to get better. It didn't. I find myself really wondering if the publisher didn't make a big mistake on this one.

Summary: Fern Michaels does it yet again!
Review: Fern is at her amazing best! Once again, Fern manages to interweave her characters, making them both believable and fascinating at the same time. Dr. Sarah Killian and rock star Dallas Lord shouldn't have anything in common. They come from two very different worlds. Somehow, through their differences they find each other's strengths--from this love blossoms. At the beginning of SARA'S SONG, Dallas still has a lot of growing up to do. It is only when he is faced with death, and discovers himself and strengths he didn't know he possessed that he is able to mature. The Dallas who returns is a new man. More mature, wiser, and a man the reader can truly fall in love with. By the end of the book the reader is rooting for these too and the ending is like a decadent dessert. Her secondary characters are the frame for the story and help to tie it all together. Nellie is absolutely delightful. The writing is tight, the dialogue is witty and Fern creates that magical element that makes one go back and read a book again and again.

Summary: The Greatest Treasure of My Life
Review: Fern Michaels is the most wonderful person as a writer and a Friend. She dedicated this book to me; I am the real Barbara McDermott. I have to say this is the single most kind thing anyone has ever done for me. Fern shares some history with me and the McDermott Family from Hastings PA not only in this treasure, but in many of the books she writes. She is truly a great writer and also a kind and caring person beyond anything you can imagine. Thank you Fern, from the real Barbara McDermott.

Summary: Poor production quality detracts from enjoyment in the story
Review: Grammatical and punctuation errors are so frequent in this book that they make the story confusing. I found myself forgetting about the plot in a game of "Find the Next Mistake." Punctuation errors, especially in the placement of quotation marks, made it difficult to understand when the characters had finished speaking or when someone new was speaking. It's difficult to lose yourself in a story when the publisher keeps showing up on the pages.

Summary: Delightful vacation read
Review: I bought this book a while back and had to fight with myself not to read it since I bought it to read on vacation. I read it in two sittings. The darn thing ended too quickly. I just loved the two brothers. I want Adam. I like all the ;family' stuff that is in Michaels' books. Sisters, brothers and friends. It's so normal you can relate to it. Now I don't have anything to read. Can't wait for the book they previewed in the back. There were some typos in the book but it didn't spoil the read. This is a great get away book.

A long time fan,

Alice Mays

Summary: One for the recycle bin
Review: I could not believe that this book was published. The dialogue was stilted at best and moronic at worst. The characters were not believable and the only reason I finished the book was to see how bad the ending could possibly be - it didn't disappoint. Perhaps I was searching for a book that offered better characters and far better dialogue - I guess I'll just stick to Nora Roberts or Jayne Ann Krentz or Judith Naught.
