Summary: A BIT SLOW
Review: Even though I am no a big fan of this author I did find this book to be very entertaining even though I threw it against the wall of my prison cell many times. But Over all it was a good read. In prison there aren't a lot of good things to read. Heck I even told my mother about it and she had a tough time reading through it. But in the end she liked it too.

Summary: Characters poorly developed plus too boring to finish
Review: I only got about 1/3 through this book because it was written in the first person and I couldn't relate at all to the weird narrator or any of the other unrealistic characters, plus it was boring.

Summary: Very Disappointed
Review: I was personally very disappointed in this bestseller by a bestseller author. The book's ending was a total surprise--and I would not have continued reading it had I known what the surprise ending was. I would NOT recommend reading this book due to its sick ending. I would have given it a zero star rating had I been able to do so.

Summary: Not likely
Review: Over the years of my reading, I have usually avoided the fiction route. This, because it seems that the plots often developed are not realistic. This, I found, to be especially true in Dangerous to Know. When I got to the end I could only conclude that Ms. Bradford has been watching to many soap operas. While there may be some confused families on planet earth,it is hard to imagine any group like she described. The turns and twists, for me, just didn't seem likely. Add to all of this the fact that she portrayed adultry and fornication as being somehow normal; this may have enhanced the story line but did little to enhance her image in one reader's mind. It is fair to say that writers seldom endorse, in their work, things they do not believe to be true. This, in turn, tends to say that the author's perspective on morality is expressed in the characters she has created, the things they say and do. Now, having read this work(actually heard this via tape from Books on Tape), I doubt I will ever be encouraged to again engage my mind with things from Ms. Bradford. I don't like to waste my time, which is to valuable to spend on something like this which doesn't pay any educational nor emotional dividends. She may have great writing skill but her themes are questionable.

Summary: Unpredictable Ending
Review: The ending was quite unpredictable. I thought he died of a disease or something but not of suicide cos he was a man of strong will. Nothing would ever drive him to suicide. To end, love does wonders.

Summary: A BIT SLOW
Review: This book comfortably moves along in chapters of its major characters' descriptions rather than the usual chronological sequence of events found in most books. This allows the reader a full understanding of each character and his/her motives instead of bits and pieces here and there. The last 1/3 of the book was a complete surprise as I wondered why a new character was introduced and the story's revelations took me by surprise. Thank you Ms. Bradford. I would love to hear from you.

Summary: The worst book I'v read
Review: This book was such a disappointment for me. Being an avid fan of Barbra Taylors Bradford, and her book Woman of Substance. This book was not near the quality you would expect from her. The story centers around the mysterious death of a young womens exhusband. She sets out to find the cause of his death. At times the story line was predictable, and seemed to drag. What suprised me was the twist and turn at the end. Yes it does have some surprises at the end, but after I was done with the book I just couldn't beleive someone actually came up with this warpped story line, espically a well noted writer like Ms. Bradford. A big raspberry to this one

Summary: Absolutely Terrible!!!
Review: This has to be the worst book I have ever read and I'm seriously not kidding either. It was boring with uninteresting characters. I kept reading thinking that it would get better and neatly come together at the end, but it never did. The bizarre, disturbing ending stamped it as the worst book ever for me. I never read a Bradford novel before and certainly expected something better than this. Don't even ask me how I was able to get through it, but somehow I did!
